I counted like 5 or 6 semi-death threats in here lol I don't know, with the exception of InControl (if you don't know him) I don't think many SC2 players are all that scary. I've had death threats made against me at work and I still go in 5 days a week.

Neither is threats of violence / force reliable or legitimate ways of dealing with the consequences of said actions, what arguments are these? Can we not agree that on principle threatening someone with force to achieve a social goal, when there exist- ruling bodies (court systems, MLG), other stakeholders (MLG, Blizzard, people with a stake in the professionalism of esports), and official stances on hacking and punishment - is immoral? Rather or not a tactic is reliable has nothing to do with rather it's morally significant, if someone hacked discreetly and avoided suspicion that doesn't make it okay.

It's another thing when your co-worker is an asshole AND cheating at work to get ahead (stealing money etc). When someone is just an asshole you can ignore him, but when that person is physically affecting your job or position etc, then absolutely I would make sure he knows it, along with management.

InControl isn't scary. he's big but he doesn't seem like a violent person at all. he seems pretty nice as long as you're not a total doucher. InControl wanting to kick my ass would be scary though.

If they are unreliable then so be it, their tournament will suffer because of it. But taking matters into our own hands like this is irresponsible because when mob mentality takes control there's no way you can convince people you're innocent. I'd rather let the people in charge handle this rationally instead of allowing things to potentially get out of control and someone get hurt.

How big are you? ![]() Seriously, no violence folks. The favorite game of many and raison d'être of this website is going down partly because of a few cheaters, a random maphacker dude deserves more pity than anything.

I am merely saying he should not be made to feel welcome BECAUSE he is an obnoxious hacker who has literally been granted entry to something that someone legit should have gotten. He will play, he will lose and we should laugh accordingly. but the end of the day the bigger concern should be that we need blizzard to be a bit more informed with their invites. Avilo cried when he qualified, this shit REALLY matters to players and can make or break their careers. Wasting time/space on someone who doesn't give a fuck and actually actively makes this game worse for other people is a huge step backwards. Haven't read a post from inc that I completely agree with in a long time ![]() Yep the second part of your post is many people's concern as well. How Blizzard take on this matter and in all hacking itself is one of the most important thing for the whole SC2 scene to grow. We've seen alot good games get destroyed by hacks, I doubt SC2 will get to that point but less hackers will always ensure a more leveled playing field where hard working are rewarded.

It's a real shame how someone can hack their way into such a prestigious event. I hope he comes to his senses and doesn't even bother to show up, I'm sure he's bound to get some attention for his hacks.
