Terrans is less popular in the foreigner scene, while in Korea is the most popular race.
The more players there is the higher the chance statically of amazing extraordinary player appearing. The reason for terran be less popular on forgeign scene is because they are difficult to play. While on Korea is popular because of Boxer, MKP, MVP, Broodwar scene.

This thread and ladder especially during MLG: "HEY GUYZ, WHY LOSE? MKP WON AGAINST HERPDERP(P), U SUKK KEKE"
I will now literally reply to every -Protoss: "lol you so bad, why u don't play liek huk???" -Zerg: "lol you so bad, why u don't liek DRG???"
Problem solved. Hey guys look, I have found the solution. Let's all get Korean, okay?

They're all in code S.
Try to mass more marines and marauders with stim and a medavac.

Yep. I don't care at all about top korean terran results when I am laddering, I just know that the game isn't fun to play and that until something changes I wont be excited about playing or watching starcraft. It isn't that I want to win all of the time, I just want to be able to play and not feel as if I have no chance of winning from the beginning.

People resort to "olol, play like MKP" because people like you exaggerate to the point of it being impossible to have a decent discussion. If you have no chance of winning from the beginning wtf are you doing?

I love TvT and TvZ and do decently well in them, but I literally have a ~20% win rate in TvP, and more importantly hate to play it win or lose. Every time I play I get at least half protosses. I'd rather play another game or no games at all than to keep having to play against protoss over and over and over.

Crazy, Heart beats Huk, now let me cry terran imba and fill the thread with the "demuslim vs bling" esc comments

not the beginning. TvP is pretty balanced early and mid game. Once the game goes past about 15 minutes though, Terran is at a huge disadvantage unless you did a lot of damage to the Protoss.

I guess you'd dislike TvP regardless if your winrate is that horrible. I guess your choices are either to stop playing, improve, or wait for HotS.

this thread kinda turns to an elephant, every time a pro-protoss beats a pro-terran or vice versa we have this thread popping up, though it is clearly about casual ladderplayers for the most part <.<
well, whatever 1.5 might bring (imo no really impactful balancechanges), hots will hopefully open up the mech era for TvP!

Hey all,
I've been reading this thread avidly over the last few weeks and been thoroughly engrossed in the discussion. I've refrained from actually posting to avoid the flame-fest and to think out my opinion more clearly.
As everyone knows, the frustration experienced by many terrans here is it the perception that we walk a fine line in TvP. (and lategame TvZ, but I believe this MU to be close enough to balanced that it shouldn't enter the discussion here) I don't believe that the actual MU of TvP is imbalanced. The problem, is that this is only the case if mechanics are not a limiting factor. For the average gamer however, (heck, even the above average gamer), going from high master and down, T has a much finer line to walk and has to be very solid mechanically to overcome the protoss.
I will take a pause here and say that Protoss players have plenty of potential to be as aggressive and multi-tasking inclined as Terran. These players aren't frustrating. The annoyance is, like everyone has said, the sheer multitude of 1-2 base allins and 3 base turtle strategies. For an e-sport or a balanced game, it is not necessarily bad that the Protoss has an easier time of it, because better mechanics don't SCALE as well with toss as with terran. But for a FUN game, it's scathing to lose to something you know you could do yourself..and probably better. Advantages can be lost in seconds to a single storm or collosus just strolling along and roasting your army because the maps have so many fucking chokes.
I'm not really sure what to ask for. It just seems odd that so many people are leagues better in TvT/TvZ than TvP. I can beat top 15-25~ Masters Z/T, yet it's not uncommon for a Diamond P to take games off me. Sure, this could be more just not understanding the match up, but this HUGE difference should be overcome with mechanics alone...
my profile in case someone calls me a troll or something. Yes Im bad http://sc2ranks.com/us/688196/twisT

Yup, this is exactly how I feel. This thread is about casual Terran players, not Code S. I want to have fun playing Terran and feel like I stand a chance in the late game without having to severely outplay my opponent.
One thing that might help make the game more fun for us casual Terrans is if your MMR was separated out per matchup. My TvP is clearly one full level below my other matchups. I don't enjoy getting smashed every time I have to play that matchup, because it's clearly not even. Separate out the MMR so each matchup is more even, and hopefully leads to a better experience on the ladder.

I like this idea. Or else, it make this weird scenario where if you face a string of T/Z, your points shoot up by a few hundred, and if you face a string of P, you tank hundreds of points.

I think that if Starcraft had a fourth race, the Rush'Naga, which literally had nuclear bombs strapped to every building and set to go off at 10 minutes, people would still harangue the living shit out of them for being aggressive early game.
|
would be awesome if we could choose the match-ups we wanna play, protoss would sit and play their PvP all day long cause no one wanna play against protoss anyway. And Z and T would get to play the game for real.

Same for me. Mid master eu, 70% win in TvT and TvZ... 30% vs toss I hate the match up, and it seems that i play only vs toss on the ladder.

What are you talking about? I'm Diamond terran and TvP is my best matchup, if you feel you have no chance to win when you join a game ur doing something wrong.
