They are commenting on what they see, and had clearly said everything within speculation. It wasn't malicious, and I doubt dragon would have taken it as such. Comments about why dragon is banned and not on slayers anymore is common knowledge. Instead of pissing on the casters for a comment, maybe he shouldn't have cheated to begin with and this wouldn't be an issue? So get over it, and stop being so sensitive.
EDIT: <-------- Biggest dragon fan, him and ForGG are the only streams i watch these days. let's not count posts now. Post counts don't quantify the value of a post it self. The main thing here is that the caster aid things that shouldn't have been said. It want his place to say things like that.where a players reputation was put in jeopardy. Acceptance of such unprofessional behavior is exactly what makes the foreign scene less mature than the Korean scene in terms of development.

This is so overblown from the actual commentary made. Also former cheaters deserve to be ridiculed and reminded of their former behaviour as far as I'm concerned.

Now everyone thinks Dragon was booted from slayers for being a cheater, when its not true. GG. He was booted from WeRRa for stream-cheating, its not that big a difference. The point stands that he has done it in the past to profit.

I think Katu should be given another chance, if you are really a dragon fan, then you will also understand this position. Dragon was once in a similar position and he was given a second chance as well, so it is only natural for Katu to get another chance. I also think that a community where starcraft leaves the realm of professionalism is also good. I like professional casts, but I also once in while like casual casts as well. If starcraft its all about professionalism, then I think it would be very lacking. Casual casts can be cool and refreshing once in a while, and if this puts fear into casters to cast purely professionally then I would be sad.

I'm really tempted to make a poll asking if we should keep making polls.

Well, like with the Coca accident, most of the harshest critics of course never watched the particular event before, and in this case never listened to Katu's cast before. It's not like he's not joking overboard almost always and teasing his chat to beyond the reasonable limits. You don't like such style of casting, you don't watch it. Enough people always liked it as it is.
I hope after he returns he doesn't become a nun with a white hat now, as a result of this whole silliness. Sheesh.
Also, Dragon fans next time better ask him if he wants to be "saved" by them in the TL forum, because if he knew the amount of dirty water this thread would generate about him as well, he might be skeptical about the usefulness of it for his career.

Katu's apology is pretty moot after what he said. Like, how can that be interpreted as a mistake or differently? He 100% knew what he was saying and implying.

I wonder would the Korean netizens and KeSPA would've done if their casters did stuff like this... Maybe it's because they take organization so seriously that their scene flourished and lasted while our scene just started to expand.

Yeah indeed, and if your boss doesn't like your style of casting - you get fired!
whoa, that was simple, right?

I experienced this live and I felt that after the game, Katu totally realized that he shouldn't have made that joke.

cant believe this has made 36 pages.

OK, so it's a bit messy this situation. So Dragon is a player with some previous mistakes and a bit of reputation. However, the new accusations have to be proven. And as long as there's no proof, the caster should have kept it shut.
Now that he did something stupid, he should be punished as well. And he will have his own mistakes and reputation. So let's see how he advances in eSports. If he can make a case for himself to be forgiven and the story forgotten, then surely he should have wished the same for the player?
What goes around, comes around.

Katu stated before saying of all this that he was trolling the chat that comes with the stream. I don't think he realized that he was actually offending a player. If you watch the stream more often you will realize that the casters often react to the chat. Unfortunately many chats are filled with trolls, including the playhem chat.
So basically it is only a lack of professionalism.. and I do believe none of the casters have had a course in 'casting sc2, while reading a trollfilled chat'.
I think Katu did not mean to insult Dragon, but he did, just to troll the chat.. -_-
The best solution I would offer to playhem to prevent this from happening again is to close the chat at the casters side or do not respond to them.

Dijego

What about a course in "common sense" ? I mean it's only expected that the players and casters remain respectful and professional as much as possible. And careful not to say something careless while live on air. The problem doesn't stop there the caster in question continued despite his co-caster's attempts to stop him.

Blasterion, you obviously did not watch the entire thing.
