This isn't the GSL
Agreed. If people don't like the caster's attitudes, they're not being forced to watch it. It's the casters choice to do and say what they want. While it may not be the best choice as far as attracting viewers to call people stream cheaters, etc, ultimately it is Playhem's choice.

Drawing the conclusion that the entire Playhem organization is terrible and shouldn't be watched due to one person's actions is really silly. Katu made a mistake and took his trolling too far but that is definitely not a reason to say you shouldn't watch playhem again, the casts are most of the time quite nice and so is the level of play. For what it's worth Dragon has probably gained more positive things from this incident than negative ones, he was right back in today's daily so I doubt he feels very traumatized by the whole thing.

Definitely think that the OP was just a tad sensationalized over the Dragon comments, but casters should also take a seminar in PR to realize that you don't fuck with your main client base EVER.
Dragon does have past history as a cheater. Katu did not come across as a troll until maybe his 2nd or 3rd wave of comments, meaning he let his comments sink in to feel as if he really was accusing Dragon (unintentional, but nevertheless his fault entirely). Dragon's play against that ling/roach all-in was indeed suspicious.... TO US. He is a semi-pro gamer. He opens 3 CC in TvZ STANDARD. He knows how to tailor his sim-city/BO to account for those all-ins, especially on Daybreak(?). To him it's standard. To us, we can't see how Dragon would react in such a perfect manner.
Perspective, people. Perspective.

I think the problem with this logic is that if people actually enjoy watching playhem but have a problem with something specific (in this case a caster/katu) then why shouldn't they voice their opinion? I think if there is a problem with a product, but the problem can be addressed, then why should people stay silent and ignore it if it could be fixed and benefit playhem and the viewers.

Did Katu stipulate that Dragon was currently stream cheating? Not directly, no.
Katu never blatantly stated that Dragon was cheating currently, he was making a joke, yes, perhaps in poor taste, but this is just way out of proportion.
It actually isn't a fact. All he is guilty of so far is using a smurf account. There was never punishment or admission of him stream cheating. If you know something the rest of us don't know then please link your sources.
About a few months ago, I started hearing "Dragon never actually admitted to stream-cheating, so it's not a proven fact that he cheated" in the foreign community. I'm not sure where it originated from.
As someone who has closely followed that incident when it happened around a year and a half ago, I can tell you that it is widely accepted in Korea that he did stream cheat. You're going to have a hard time finding someone over there who believes otherwise. And why is that?
1. WeRRa's officially apologized on PlayXP for the "Seo Yeon-Ji/Ear Hacking" (That's what they call stream cheating in Korea) incident. They said that they are very sorry for Mio's wrongdoings and also the fact that the WeRRa members blindly defended him against the accusations before Mio finally admitted it. They said that Mio was kicked out of the clan as his punishment.
2. Mio had said in his apology post that he would never even dream of competing in tournaments, broadcasted matches, or becoming a progamer. However, about a month later, he was on GSL R64 playing against Nestea. After the match, he posted another apology post on PlayXP, saying that he is sorry for not keeping his promise that he made after stream cheating
3. He continued to upload some of his replays on PlayXP, and him vs IdrA was one of those replays. He started that post by saying "Hello. I'm very sorry for stream cheating".
What has not been confirmed is whether or not he was also using maphack. I'm fine with giving the guy a second chance, but people need to stop distorting what happened.

Agreed, I think most of his fans accept that as what happened. Thanks for the additional details.

I think that this is pretty ridiculous that casters should be punished like this, especially in such a small tournament. I would want a community where its very casual all the time and if these types of things get blown out of proportion. If you don't like the cast, don't watch it. I found it pretty funny and I'm a dragon fan lol, I hope that casters aren't afraid to make jokes and troll the audience as long as they make it clear that they are trolling.

After listening to the commentary I sincerely doubt that the Katu is sorry for anything other than his "boss" being woke up at 3am to deal with the shit storm he created. I read Katu's apology. I am not impressed.

Classy move w/ Playhem to make amends though

Who the hell is Katu?

Idiotic moves from Katu. He's very lucky that Ryan's got money to throw around. Don't understand why he'd bother keeping Katu around after this but I guess with a full freakin' sponsorship he gets some leeway.

I think the way Playhem is handling the situation is very professional at this moment. You can't completely blame a guy for a mistake when he's only human.

Katu is a caster for PlayhemTV and does many of the daily casts.

Sigh, another over sensitive post, from someone with only 6 posts. I think you need to calm down, and take the comments within context. They are commenting on what they see, and had clearly said everything within speculation. It wasn't malicious, and I doubt dragon would have taken it as such. Comments about why dragon is banned and not on slayers anymore is common knowledge. Instead of pissing on the casters for a comment, maybe he shouldn't have cheated to begin with and this wouldn't be an issue? So get over it, and stop being so sensitive.
EDIT: <-------- Biggest dragon fan, him and ForGG are the only streams i watch these days.

Forgive your enemy but remember that bastard's name.

People make mistakes, I'm sure he and many will learn from this drama.

Dragon is neither banner nor removed from slayers due to cheating. That's the biggest problem I have with what was said, some of it isn't even true! Now everyone thinks Dragon was booted from slayers for being a cheater, when its not true. GG.

at 4:21:23 in the video posted on the op, katu appologized for his comments saying that his trolling got out of hand and he was sorry...learn to forgive and forget children.
