EZ Yes, but that is considered gambling and thus gambling age comes into effect which is also another obstacle.
I think they have all of that informatino when we register our accounts. they could do additional confirmations when signing up for the e-wallet or whatever they are going to call it (diablo 3) and make people sign a terms of use thing.
the could very well just offer a free tournament option too. personally, I would happily play a $5 tournament a night. Not much else I can do for $5 that buys me hours of entertainment.

Why don't we care? It's been so long that we've given up on caring. Okay.jpg

yep, lot of stuff can still be improved on, and like you mentioned, most of it was already in their past games, so it's just sad that blizzard doesn't pick up the slack and atleast add those in.
Some stuff id personally would like to see is map of the week and increased chat channel capacity. teamliquid chat that gets full? that shouldnt happen.

I just want them to bring back losses. That motivated me a ton. I would set goals like "get 15 more wins than losses for this season", and then if I achieved that I would bump it up a notch. It helped me improve a ton because I had to practice more and it felt like every game mattered.

Honestly if they just could fix customs I would be happy. As it is now the only custom map that I play is extinction team monobattle and I feel like there has been no new map for atleast six months.
|
We don't care because everyone know Blizzard wxon't fix anything about battlenet right now. The game is probably going to be like it is right now, ingame and on battlenet, until HotS come out. :/
I hope they do something big tho, battlenet is still very bad for such a modern platform.

I agree with all of your points, I think the best we can do is keep this thread or threads likes this really active; hoping that people at blizzard will notice and fix these problems.
|
Clans and teams will be introduced in HotS. Thats all I know. They made Bnet2.0 to connect all future blizzard games into 1 system. Specifically only for Wow
|
i subscribe to this. all of this stuff would make the starcraft 2 experience way better, but blizzard won't get their head out of their asses :|
|
I agree with all the complaints but I have to call some people out.
People who say "I would be playing a lot more/regularly if the UI was better" are fooling themselves. There is nothing wrong with the game inherently, and the way the ladder system works (when it comes to who you play against) is AMAZING.

I agree with that.
Also, automated tournaments are the single most desired feature for me right now in B.Net.

Agree completely. None of this stuff seems like it would be that hard to implement. Dedicate 1 or 2 programmers to it and it could be done pretty quickly.
|
this stuff better be fixed in HOTS, there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be. Maybe instead of a barcraft we should all show up on blizzards front door and watch tournaments while holding signs.
|
As someone that played previous blizzard games, thank you for posting this. Starcraft 2 does not feel like a blizzard game imo. It feels like a completely new game made by some other company that just ripped all the skins from original starcraft and butchered it into a new game by adding and replacing a few units. I want old blizz back. ):

Battle.net 2.0 pretty much blows. I don't think anyone was particularly fond of it, and the fact that Blizzard is so out of touch with what the players want is even more hilarious. How long did it take to even get chat channels added?

3v3 is complete bullshit, I'll tell you that. The matchmaking in 3v3 is making me rage so fucking hard its unbelievable, no amount of 6 pools, proxy gates and canon rushes in the 1v1 league ever made me even remotely as mad. It fucking discourages you to play it.
Whats that bro, you won 3 games in a row?How nice, lemme rise up the difficulty a bit BY PAIRING YOU WITH WEAKER PEOPLE against STRONGER PEOPLE.The sum of your MMR is about even, ezpz win bro.
They should put a goddamn transparent trollface in the loading screen when this shit happens....
And no, you dont get to win in this scenario, because you dont win in a team with people who dont research warpgate or open gas-engineering-depo-PLANETARY.It simply doesnt happen. You get to multitask like a fucking idiot for 20 minutes then lose to 1a OR try to to slowly bleed out your opponents in a 50 minute fuckfest.
Fuck this.I play team games for fun, not for competition and I dont have time for 50 minute games, this aint CIv 3.

I couldn't agree more. I absolutely have no motivation to play the game at the moment. I just watch streams and cups for the enjoyment.
Also remember how long it took to fix "The input limit reached" annoyance. As long as people buy and play the game anyway blizzard has absolutely no intention of changing anything. Also compare the latest announcments for D3 (aka removing announced stuff). For me Blizzard is really moving in the wrong direction.

There are a ton of easy fixes that Blizzard could have implemented LONG before now, fixes that have been pointed out time and time again. Blizzard has not done these fixes yet. Will this thread have any more affect?
|
Oh look another thread about BW being superior to SC2. Never thought i see that.
|
Everything the OP says is true. It's incredibly ironic to consider how fucking badass and nerd friendly the war3 infrastructure is. Even the icon system is a million times better. Just a handful of icons, visible progression, gotta work hard for those really flashy icons whereas in sc2 everyone has all kinds of archons and robots and you don't even know what they mean. Automated tourneys are super boss, chat channels are easy and intuitive, the entire system just works really well.
Why they would go out of their way to spoon feed the player base crap instead of a system we all loved is beyond me.
