well, we dont have content from blizzard to consume our time
might as well qq

I agree I mean this would legitimize the game so much more as an eSport and it doesn't even take time away from the Hots release as the people who are making the UI are totally different people than the people who are making the campaign/balancing the multiplayer. I REALLY hope this HotS delay gives them the time to improve the UI and have it ready for the release (hopefully sooner, but knowing how Blizzard operates probably not.)

I only blame Activision for causing this and maybe myself for buying the game.

That alone, to me, explains the massive amount of fail that we all know to be battle.net 0.2 I remember that to was it before WoL or after tho?

They didn't care then, why should they care now? I've stopped trying.

every last fucking thing you said in the op is exactly what i've been thinking SINCE beta started/each new feature was added... cmon blizzard...

I do - just like everyone else - agree. The question is: how to change the situation? I don't have the feeling Blizz will do something about it in the near future.
|
Completely agree. I've always thought that its astonishing that a service thats trying to position Starcraft 2 as the premier esport in the world lacks so many features that are available in Warcraft 3 from years ago!
1) Unable to see map/race win rates and stats (available in Battle.net 1) 2) No automated tournaments (available in Battle.net 1) 3) No clan support (available in Battle.net 1)
Total joke!
|
Also, the search algorithm when trying to find custom maps is beyond all imagination, to quote Jinro: "Is there anything dumber than the http://Battle.net search? Search NASL and you get NASL Antiga. Search NASL Antiga and it doesnt show up". Sums it up...

About the 8th thread on this topic, and about the 8th time I've agreed with everything. In addition to this stuff (separate kinda) I've literally just been sending repetitive customer support tickets to blizzard in an attempt to change my other accounts name. All of it is so poorly managed you'd think they're trying to have a lower interest in their game for the players.

Total joke! Hey they need the manpower to think up more shitty subplots for the campaign. Gee guys Tychus is bad after all.

Total joke! Hey, you're not giving Battle.net 2 enough credit, there are some very important features they added with it

The problem isn't that we don't care, it's that Blizzard doesn't. A UI rehaul would be awesome...
|
shitty ui is a major reason why i don't play anymore. if blizzard doesn't give a shit about their game, then why should we. it's just sad how much better sc2 could have been. same reason i'm not getting diablo 3. blizzard does not care about its customers.
i remember back when blizzard used to be innovative and every game was so exciting/the next best thing. would get every single game, expansion etc.

I honestly don't know what Blizzard were/are thinking with this Battle.net 0.2. May be there was one guy that made the original Battle.net and he left the company and now nobody knows what to do? I have a bad feeling things won't change in HotS either. It seems that Blizzard just don't care. I hope they prove me wrong.

Since when do writers take away from UI devs?

We care, Blizzard doesn't

+1 agree! on everything really.

These are not snarky questions. Just things I want to know:
How were clans supported in WC3? Why was it good?
How did automated tournaments work (that sounds awesome--there were supposed to be ladder tournaments at the end of each system !!!!!)
What is a better way to do customs and promote new customs? How did WC3 do it?
Has Blizzard actually blocked custom development? How so? I thought the general opinion was that the tools are powerful?
Shared replay is the thing that I feel the absence of the most. Most of the other things, I don't have enough experience with the other games to miss them. I do like the league system -- if you want to compare with your friend, just play a best of 5. But again, I don't know how WC3 worked on that front.
I dont want them to change the team ladder -- it already takes too long to queue -- but I dont really care one way or the other on that.
