In Korea the story is entirely different. Lets talk about Flash and BW. When he was completely unknown he entered Courage tournament and won which granted him semi-programing license. There, he was scouted by WemadeFOX as a B team. Courage tournament is exactly what you do when you are new and unknown. There are no restrictions and happens very frequently. A lot of times, scouts from various teams are watching you play as well. I've also heard cases where a player was scouted even though he did not win the tournament (eventually he had to win one to gain the semi-progaming license but he got a lot of help from the team, i assume). SC2 in Korea may not have this system yet. However, Korean sc2 teams still benefit from this by simply hiring B teamers who are proven potentials. In Korea every good player has a clan they play and practice with too. Every BW progamer was part of a clan before they got their progamer license (most of the players are still in the clans they were with before going pro, playing clan leagues etc) and I guess Sc2 in Korea has some pretty good clans too. The foreigner scene has nothing like that. You either play for a team or you pretty much are a ladder hero spending your time on the ladder, while playing some daily cups where you lose in the first couple of rounds. We would gain so much for having clans and clan leagues for amateur players. The skill level and new talents would be better in the long run. Maybe this will pop up more if we have clan support on bnet. ![]()

It's real fun but because of the difference in culture we end up just talking on skype more then playing a game :D btw, i'm surprised noone pointed out the "pro-gramming" mistake in the post you quoted.

He banned himself from GSL (i think it was his decision) but he can still attend foreigner tournaments with EG. And it's not like what he did was super bad, it was more like an example had to be made.

Or is there something I'm not getting here. Moon is the progamer which has won the more money in prize money in esport . Yes , more than Boxer , Nada , Flash , etc ...

otherwise, i think the coca speculation is quite good too, and i suspect that as soon as coca gets the OK to play again, he will be transferred to EG, but now is too soon. if i were sirscoots, i would look at my lineup as such: a-team: p z t Huk Idra Puma JYP (Coca?) DeMuslim this way, everyone has a practice partner for each MU that speaks their language, and/or matches their skill level and most importantly, that they mesh pretty well with. most importantly, i know that idra's worst MU is zvp, but he doesn't seem to practice well with huk, my only s-class toss. so, my _next_ pickup should be a z, but my first pickup should be an s-class p. oh man, i'm forever bronze, but i would kick ASS at fantasy sc2...
