"pretty major bm" would be when lalush tells somoene who beat him that he hopes that their mother drowns in a bathtub and that they kill themselves. Incontrol's situations are much more along the lines of someone on these forums insulting him, or someone on his stream flaming for no reason, or someone on these forums trying to claim they don't practice hard in the EG house (lewlewl), and in reponse he tells them how stupid they are and just doesn't use the nicest words to do so. That being said, you're right that Incontrol has a unique position over many other pros who aren't posting the greatest results as of late, he's also super involved in the community and is a public figure (whether you like him or hate him, doesn't matter). I do think the new player will be someone with atleast moderate results posted, and if so then that too is a good thing. How on earth can anyone here think that a player getting a contract that pays more than their last one is a bad thing? If you want esports to grow doesn't it need to be more lucrative? Herp much?

Puma/Idra/Huk. They could use another quality player capable of winning big tournaments, no matter what race that person plays.

All the other ones are good, even great, players. just none of them would make a deep run in any tournament. B-team vs A-team.

Guys that are good for ladder runs, but can't compete at the upper echelon don't matter.

You know, they have a comparable lineup to any other foreigner team, and in my opinion better. They don't need to get another tournament winner for it to be worth it. You don't only sign MVP's to a team in any sport. You sign who will return a profit on your investment. This is influenced by both how much you have to invest and their skill. Investing in a smaller-salaried pro who is decent and atleast qualifies for lots of tourneys could be helpful as well. People like you seem to only think someone is "good" if they've dominated multiple tournaments.

They have 3 good TOURNAMENT players and a few good non-TOURNAMENT players? If you're not good in tournaments, you're not good. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Guys that are good for ladder runs, but can't compete at the upper echelon don't matter. thats where your somewhat wrong. EG's B team is comparable to a lot of foreign teams A teams. Look at Col, does any Complexity player seriously outmatch Axel consistently? No. EG's bteam is an amazing investment return because they are the best at what they do. Only real competition in terms of line up is Liquid and now QxG. Even there, take out Sase/naniwa in QxG and EG's b team would put up a fight, take out the the top liquid, and once again there would be some competition (though prob not as much, all of liquid is pretty good). These people get outshone by the ateam, and thats the main issue. There's no reason for them to go to tournaments because there are much better players within the team who can go. EG can use 1-2 more heavy hitters and they will be perfectly comparable to any major korean team in term of A team, and thats all they really need.

He means the players are good in respect of what they do outside of tournaments, winning tournaments isn't the only way to get publicity, and if DeMuslim manages to attend a tournament in form we could all be surprised.
