EMP has long needed a nerf. The upgrade cost-reductions, however, are a bit boggling. While I'm glad that protoss isn't flat out being nerfed a great deal due to the recent metagame (protoss just sucking against everything), I can't say that this will make protoss more viable...

Shield upgrades are pretty much useless to begin with, and the level 2 weapons/armor upgrades don't really change protoss fighting against the 1-1-1 early game.

Hopefully the EMP nerf alone will calm the herds of protoss QQers

I don't understand the upgrade changes. The problem was never the upgrades and I feel like this gives an unfair advantage for Protoss.

EMP change is definitely a good one though. No more one sided 200/200 fights.

Heh, they actually followed through with the balance changes that they were hinting at during Blizzcon.

Ghost nerf should alleviate some Protoss difficulties, though I guess some people might have wanted a range nerf instead of an EMP radius nerf.

Protoss Forge upgrade buffs are amazing. I was hoping for better upgrade scaling for Gateway units, but a cost buff is great nonetheless.

gateway units suck, they want a way for them to be more viable without increasing base stats, making upgrades cheaper is a good idea.

now, all we need is for the stalker attack to scale better (additional +1 for armor like they did in beta)

wow when i read the shield upgrade decrease i was like "yeeeeah" and then i read on and saw the other upgrades being cheaper aswell :D

I'm a little curious why they feel the need to make protoss upgrades cheaper. Protoss can already out upgrade every race due to chonoboost, and these changes will just make that even easier
