I think the upgrades change is a little much. Sure, decrease shields upgrade cost, but not armor and weapon upgrades. protoss can already get upgrades faster than the other races, and in TvP if you are down upgrades for very long you've basically lost the game. I doubt the armor and weapons upgrades change will go through. | ||

EMP is an incredibly powerfull spell against Protoss due to the fact that actuaally deals damage rather than just nullifying casters. Nerfing the radius by 0.5 will require more EMPs and more precise, which only becomes a game changing factor in high level games. As for the upgrades cost reductions, I'm guessing this is to encourage double forge play so that you can keep up with the Terran macro wise. Gas is hardly a problem for T in the matchup, so upgrades come naturally extremely early (usually 3-3 finishes arround the 18-19m mark). This buffs helps P catching up to that. | ||

i want to say shield buff is interesting but i mean, emp will still do same damage regardless so ... whats the point? | ||

Wtf? Upgrade change is kind of a joke, that was already the one place protoss really had an advantage with chrono boost =\ that really shouldn't go through... not with EMP nerf as well. If they both go through it's gonna be so difficult to just play against gateway/templar style with quick double forge ![]() | ||

Shield Upgrades seriously needed to be cheaper. You barely got them in most games and definitely never touched the damn things in PvT match ups. Great change there. But I actually question the point of the Weapon/Armor cost reduction. They remained on par with the other race's relative upgrade costs and in terms of the total number of armor/weapon/shield upgrades across the races, Toss had 5 like the Zerg, 1 less than T. Instead of Zerg Weapons split into melee/ranged we had our health split into armor/shields. I wouldn't mind Armor/Weapons back to the old cost. | ||
