I don't think this is all that big tbh. It's a buff but it wont suddently make upgrades godlike which seems to be the concesus here for some reason.

European Diamond Terran AND Platinum Protoss. Today I played 14 games against Protoss, none made an expansion, always cheese or bust and that's how it works since 1.4 Don't know what league you are playing in, but that's standard in EU Diamond.

As a Protoss player, I have to say that all the changes are incredible stupid and Protoss are viable becoming a low APM a-click race. Of course you could play creative, but cheese and turtling is so efffective.



I rarely see that on NA.

EMP still does more damage than Storm, and does it instantly so it isnt going anywhere now that the radius is also the same as storm. It is still a super-storm versus protoss.

Otherwise, yeah shield ups are cool, they were way to expensive and now if Toss can ever get 3-3-3 oh boy oh boy. Double forge builds? No. Triple forge builds. lol.

EMP radius... meh I'm okay.

That was just my point, people are getting these upgrades anyway already. So the timing needn't change a bit. Only now, when they have completed 3/3/3, they will have about 4 units more. Is that a huge buff?

Emp was probably a bit too strong, but this is just too much I think. THis will esp. hurt diamond-master league terran players. Playing tvp late game if you odnt have insanely good unit control is really eally hard. Now it actually looks toss favored, and oyu need perfect control to be even against protoss.

Anyway emp nerf would be fine if they just made mech viable, tt. I guess terran have to wait for hots.

The upgrades are a nice subtle change. Not ground breaking but is probally going to have a nice impact for the struggling protoss.

EMP change is great. I would have loved to see the range reduced by 1 as well but Blizzard may be afraid of nerfing it too much. The biggest impact is going to be in the early to midgame when a limited amount of ghosts are out. When the number is starting to hit 10 or more it doesnt really matter, everything will get EMP'ed anyway,

You guys seriously want us to believe that you can tell that a protoss got 3 zealots and an archon more then he was supposed to 20 minutes into the game ?

Wow, these are some pretty huge changes. Protoss players have been loving the fast upgrades as of late and now they are cheaper. And I think a lot of people have been asking for the EMP radius to change. I'm very interested to see how this all plays out.

You said the same thing when they changed observers from 50/100 to 25/75!

Oh yea you are right how could we missed that,now when a terran uses a scan it is actually a pretty even trade in resources lol.
Upgrade price nerf will be practically unnoticeable,it's just a minor quality of life change.

Very interesting. I wasn't aware of armor/weapons upgrades being too expensive. Shields I totally understand though.

EMP Nerf is definitely a good/big one.


I feel like Blizzard is trying to fix the PvT matchup without touching any units directly. Which is good in a way.

LOL, not that fast. If toss is just turtling and chronoing out upgrades that fast, go punish them with drops and attacks.


It is really hard to drop against a turtling Protoss with spotting Pylons and not use your entire army in the drop.
