Daaaaang. I'm Protoss and this seems insane. I'd say make shields cheaper but leave the others, but I won't complain. ;P

Nothing makes the 3/3 come any faster but chrono boost. Stop confusing it.

3/3 still comes at the same speed, the protoss is just able to squeek out an extra unit here and there AND still press the upgrade key. =)

Oh wow! Very nice changes to the shield upgrades, could effect PvZ where archons are involved. Hmm, don't know if the the other upgrades changes are necessary. I do like the EMP nerf though.

This doesn't solve anything. With this protoss are forced to end the game before late game when they still have the upgrade advantage. Late game with both sides with 3-3 toss will still get destroyed by mass emp.

They will get 3/3 just as quickly as they always did, just have a couple of extra units along with.

Going for 3/3 you only save 150/150 total.

Actually, idk, saving that 150 means they can forge sooner; as well as continually pump the upgrades, given the gas is what normally held them back, its cheaper, so 2x @ a time w/chrono? :p

Yeah, another reason you don't see much shield especially in PvT is because you already know it probably shields become pretty worthless against emp, and getting archons that can be instant killed almost in PvT is no good... :/

Really nice change I must say. Quick double forge was pretty tough to pull of WHILE going other tech ie colossus.. but now it will be pretty easy. and allows you more room for other ups like charge, blink ETC

Hopefully protoss endless QQ will stop now. On the other hand, I guess with these changes the 1-1-1 will be even more used, especially for diamond level terrans like me. It's not like playing lategame against a protoss of close skill is easy.

European Diamond Terran AND Platinum Protoss. Today I played 14 games against Protoss, none made an expansion, always cheese or bust and that's how it works since 1.4 Don't know what league you are playing in, but that's standard in EU Diamond.

As a Protoss player, I have to say that all the changes are incredible stupid and Protoss are viable becoming a low APM a-click race. Of course you could play creative, but cheese and turtling is so efffective.

lol, he ment the changes won't affect PvZ as double forge stinks in that matchup. It still does, so the early savings will be really minimal. In PvZ you usually get 1-0 into 2-0 into 3-0 and you'll only be saving 75/75 on that, armor and shield still do very little for what they cost here.

Woo great changes, will barely affect pvz at all (+2 timings wont be changed by a small cost reduction) i might finally hit that +3 shield upgrade more than once in 1000 games now, as for emp it really needed a nerf so im glad to see that come.

The EMP nerf is over the top. You'll be hard pressed to hit more than 2 units with it now, especially against infestors.
Of course, you only live one life, and you make all your mistakes, and learn what not to do, and that’s the end of you.

I agree, since ground units all get the same upgrades, they should be more expensive.. (carapace is more expensive than the other two upgrades)
