TSL will probably send Polt, Alive, and Killer/Clide. Slayers will probably send Ganzi and maybe Ryung. Startale will probably send July and maybe Curious due to his recent domination. MVP will probably send DRG, sC and a few other of their stars. Providence is going to be, more than likely, the most watched tournament of the year. Clearly the writing is in the stars for this. Fate is upon us. A Korean will not be winning the tournament.. Who will win then you ask? I don't know. But the stars are starting to align and I assure you it will be a North American player winning. His name will not be Idra, or HuK or Stephano or any of the other big names we have all known to come. Our champion will be a unknown player. He will rise from the open bracket playing his heart out every match. Competitor after competitor will fall to our new champion. I can see it now.... Our champion has just finished slaying Idra to move on to face MVP in the grand finals. The crowd is jarring with mixed emotions, some are sad to see that Idra has been eliminated and have lost hope for a foreigner victory, but most are eagerly awaiting for the final match. The first game begins, the crowd is nervous..MVP is playing well, but our new champion is going toe to toe with the final boss of Korea. After a close back and forth game our new champion comes out victorious, and makes MVP GG out of the game. The crowd goes wild. After winning the 2nd game in a godly fashion MVP has been able to come back to tie the series 2-2. Things are looking grim. But in game 5 our new champion shows a strategy that has never been seen before and takes the game, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. MVP is frustrated, he looks over at the other booth in amazement. He came into this finals thinking this would be a cake walk but suddenly realizes our new champion is no joke. Game 6 is upon us. The crowd is still buzzing after the magnificant game play showed to us by our new champion. MVP is playing great in the sixth game with drops and harassment every where. Our new champion is barely holding on. The late game is upon us and MVP has a slight lead, our new champion has just lost his expo and is preparing for his last and final push. Both players are maxed out and most will come to say that MVP had the better army composition. But with resilient play and never before seen micro our new champion arises to crush MVP's army forcing the GG WP out of MVP. The crowd bursts into cheers of joy, some tearing up knowing that they have just witnessed something truly epic. Our new champion comes running out of the booth to meet his family who has rushed the stage with tears of joy streaming down their face they meet in the middle of the stage and embrace each other, smiling, laughing, crying. This will begin the end of foreigners be foreign. And SC2 will become main stream in NA/EU it is fate. | ||

So, I can see the entire top 16 full of Koreans. Top 16 at the very least. Could be the top 20 for all we know. Only Idra and Huk would be the exceptions. From what I saw out of Idra last event, it seems he's turned a corner. Maybe not that huge corner to beat players like Nestea and MVP, but we've seen him beat some very good players. I can see him in the top 8 again if he keeps focused. It helps that he has an extreme advantage because he's the number one seed. He's also at a disadvantage of course so it works like a double edged sword. Still though, he's gotta be happy with how many byes he's got. HuK beat MC twice, MarineKing, TheStC, and July. That's a pretty tough lineup to beat in order to get first. Now with even more great players, players that are even better than the ones mentioned above, it'll be much harder. HuK is the only foreigner I can see winning this event. Unless Idra somehow becomes Super Gracken, HuK has the best chance out of any foreigner. Even then, it's a bit of a long shot. Gonna be crazy. | ||

He's also a dark horse in the top of the champion's bracket who could possibly take out a tired Nestea who's gone through hell in the open bracket, considering NaNiwa's always been beastly PvZ. I mean none really knows how good he is at the moment. Also all players are atleast somewhat inconsistant and can have a bad day (as you might've noticed laddering ), and MLG is a completely new experience for atleast Nestea.I think we could potentially have a foreigneir top spot if they have some luck in the bracket with top Koreans eliminating eachother, and a very tired one goes up to the final. Is the bracket official yet? | ||

To be totally honest I have a feeling we might see a slight upset. I'm not saying something like, "oh Nestea won't make it out of the open bracket" but I feel like MVP and Nestea may not finish 1/2 like everyone expects. At least I hope there is some form of competition for those two. | ||

NesTea being old doesn't affect his play, age isn't such a big factor in video games as it is in physical sports, and are you seriously calling him old at only 29 years of age? Another fun fact NesTea and MVP where both A team players, they where trained to go for hours and hours of games without breaking a sweat, MVP already demonstrated MLG open bracket was nothing for him. I wouldn't expect the open bracket to claim MVP and NesTea as victims. As for Stephano being better then HuK. I'd say Stephano is better since the defeated HuK in straight up play at IPL 3 and he did it in very convincing fashion 2-0 after he even let HuK get Colossus, Carrier and Void Ray. I'll not comment on IdrA vs Stephano since they haven't played directly as of yet, at least not recently. | ||

People seem to not realize that all the success NesTea has, and most of the success MVP has come from a tournament where you have almost a week to prepare for a specific opponent on specific maps. MLG is a whole new beast entirely, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them hit a tough opponent in the open bracket and stumble a little, and eventually fall. | ||

I think MLG is supposed to be for people that are not in Code S. Not for ppl that DOMINATE the SCII scene, have won 3 GSLs, and were just invited to Blizzcon. Don't get me wrong, these two are GODS and I love watching them play.... But they're basically taking away the opportunity for others to join them in their world :/ | ||

One 32 man Championship bracket with 16 of the seeds going to players based on points earned over the previous events, and the other 16 seeds based on the top 16 players from the 256-man Open Bracket. I am not sure, but I think players with points get priority in bracket seeing in the Open Bracket too if they do not have enough to qualify for the Championship Bracket. In this case, MVP gets seeded into the Championship Bracket, while NesTea has 0 points so he starts at the very bottom of the Open Bracket and must earn his Champion Bracket spot. | ||

If somebody wins through it it would be like NASL all over again, where lots of players played over 10 weeks and then a "random" guy appears out of nowhere and takes the first prize.^^ | ||

The foreigner skill level is high enough to at least give them a run for their money (actually more of a leisurely stroll for their money). Honestly, though, in all likelihood they will just demolish everyone they play until they face each other (or MMA if he's coming).
