If overseers are truly out of the game and vipers are actually a t3 unit, it raises my primary concern ~ because then every protoss will go defensive DT tech and completely nulify all ground aggression, not to mention completely nulify any hope of getting an expansion up because you need creep to put spore crawlers down. Not to mention protoss can easily just mass expand and there would be nothing zerg could do about it except going muta play, which just means that you will easily be able to read what zerg does.

The question stands: will zerg be forced to tech to fast hive now if the vipers are a tier3 unit?

does anyone else feel like some of these just CANT be in mp, like this terran shredder thing? it will only work if no friendly units are around? while cannons and spines attack no matter proximity to friendly forces?, I guess we'll just have to wait for the beta huh?

People forget with Replicants you can become a cloaked ghost with EMP since you get the upgraded abilities I believe...

Macro is still going to be the thing to learn at a low level, so it doesn't really matter. Making workers and not getting supply blocked will hopefully stay the same.

As a Zerg, I'm really happy with the units, looks like they will add something to the zerg play. As I reckon we got another t3 (flying defiler) and T2 (Lurker wannabe) , Terran I just don't get at all. The static unit seems like a terrible idea. Just no idea why they would need something like that ? The transforming hellion, what role does it fill that isnt already filled ? And a little thor unit ? Wait what ? What is going on here.

And Protoss... I feel terrible for you guys looking at this. The replica unit, I can see people finding cute ways to replicate ghosts, maybe siege tanks, but really ? This unit seems to be total garbage. No idea what role its suppose to fill besides a quasi-spellcaster kind of ? THe problem with the carrier wasn't the unit itself, it was the tech route & time to get it out. Now they are replacing one of the most iconic Protoss units instead of trying to find a solution for it ? Man, it won't help with mid-game mutalisk at all, the tech path is just to heavy. It just doesnt fix anything now does it ? And the Oracle, its just a Overseer with better abilities, wtf is that ? It might find some cute use if its fast or durable, but my god did Protoss get shafted here.

Can you explain hold position lurkers? If they can't move, why does it matter if they hold position? Why would it matter for this new sc2 unit?


it's not hold position it's "stop lurkers", where you either issue an attack on a unit out of range, or spam stop so they don't attack. it was used to hide the fact that your lurkers were there until a huge clump of units was over their splash attack, thus maximizing damage.

oh i finally get it now lol. you just spam the stop or hold hotkey until units are in a good position to be killed from aoe(maximize damage).

apparently i'm wrong about the execution, lol. but yeah, the premise is the same
