lol kinda funny aye, but you get the drift. Maybe them lumps are eggs? I'd laugh if you could inject larva onto this unit like a proxy hatch or it walked around with larva on its back to reinforce pushes XD

then i realized that i pretty much came up with the Lurker. As for the Portrait, im at work so i cant draw or make annotaions ( plus im busy) but it looks like it could be a "siege tank" for zerg. im going to cry and lose hope if it is basically a reskinned siege tank. | ||

Protoss. kept up with their mobility, given insane map unit production calls with proxy pylons for warpgates. chrono zealots = 10 second build time compared to 2 zerglings requiring 24. Zerg. like terran, given a "tank" unit, roach compared to marauder. Zerg roach is too strong. so roach is cut in half by 2 supply instead of being 1 supply it originally was in beta. Now zerg has half the forces. So much DPS on the field from smart fire tanks and colossus means that for a ground army, unlike brood war, there is no option for ling/hydra. its either ling festor and hope to catch his army as smaller, or corruptor roach, because only mass roach can take the damage of colossus centric armies with ground based support. and you cant buy roaches and hydra and still have supply left over for other units like you could when roaches were 1 supply. also, don't say that you need mass brood lords or ultra with corruptor roach. that shit is too expensive to get even if you're 6 base to protoss 3 base. the only way to get that is if protoss sits on his ass and lets you. oh yeah, and then hydras move slow as shit. and then hydras cost 2 supply when air units have received huge DPS buffs over brood war air units. compare banshee to wraith. lol. 8 damage on ground with moderately slow fire rate vs 24 damage with high fire rate. VRs with charge kiting spores is another matter altogether (you kite spores by forcing uproots, attacking it some as it roots, then moving to kill other building, so shut it). so zerg = less swarmy, slower, and less AA viability (as opposed to 1 supply hydras from brood war). its like Dustin Browder is to Starcraft 2 what George Lucas is to the new Star Wars and the Star Wars series. only die hard fan boys are not vomiting in rage at this travesty of a "competitve game". look at the formula. They gave a 'tank" unit to each race, immortal, roach, marauder. Just like WoW. Its becoming formulaic. blizzard hasn't had a single original idea since the end of brood war. I think you're making a lot of good points, but you're being too harsh towards blizzard. the roach is a perfect example of this: it was 1 food as you said, a swarming unit. I personally think a swarming army or zerglings and roaches is cooler than a swarming army of zerglings and hydralisks, so I don't mind the original attempt they made, but when they tried to balance it out they failed with it. they couldn't make it what they wanted it to be and it ended up like the zerg stalker or the zerg marauder. the same happened to immortal. remember the demos they made about these units? immortal was this super cool tanking unit that leads the way and kills tanks. the cool thing about it was the shield, but the game didn't end up something where that matters as much as they would've liked. I don't think people look at it and see shields and how to abuse shields - they look at it and think DPS. I don't think they're really lacking ideas, it's just that most of them failed in practice. ![]() a list of stuff that to me don't seem like they became what they wanted at all: marauder, reaper, thor, roach, hydra, corruptor, immortal and the list could continue, but these are lacking the original flavor or the concept messes with the game or the unit is messed with by the game in a big way. ( examples in order: roach, marauder, thor) they need to balance it while people are playing it competitively and it's such a mess the only solution seems to be to just abandon a lot of the cool concepts, balance the numbers and rework a huge chunk of it in the next expansion, hots. a lot of people would wonder why would blizz remove units, and the answer is not only that they don't like having too many units, but also because some of their creations straight up failed. I think blizzard & dustin browder got this. hots is going to be great. they said the units are revealed in campaign order, which I interpret tier 1 first, because usually tier 1 is what you learn first in campaigns. so I'm expecting there to be more than just 1 unit per race, and I'm hopeful that either the roach is fixed in hots or this unit will replace it - even though when I look at it I can't fully understand how the silhouette is formed and I can't make up my mind whether it has a huge ass because it's a caster unit or because it's highly armored. whatever it is, browder & the bunch have a lot more knowledge about making a game like this now, and I think in order to hype their next product they're saving stuff for hots. what I'm looking forward to the most is a better bnet. PS. I know. when I say "what they would've liked" I'm making some assumptions. I just think in most cases it's quite evident looking at the initial concepts in their demos and comparing them to the finished product. despite all of this, I think the game works perfectly fine as a competitive game, which is their priority, and they didn't fail that. PPS. yeah, if I'm wrong there's possibly going to be a lot to be disappointed with, but I'm hopeful. | ||
