The 1 could be made up by: - Making polls for game recommendation after each game and linking those polls in the OP. - Maybe improving the groupstage more ( or removing it in favor of a loser's bracket ). - Optimizing the IPL stream viewer thing, and allowing for more layouts. I would like to be able to have two streams on top of each other and a chat beside them. My laptop can play SC2 in high but I had to use the justin.tv page because of lag on the ipl stream player.

They could work on improving their format. I still don't quite understand what the deal about the pool play was, it felt very pointless compare to MLG poolplay. Double elimination format could be considered, though one could argue that scheduling would be difficult.

Seeding in that particular way just makes the games very, very meaningless. Especially, quite frankly, when the tournament is as god as IPL is. Seeding is a little more important in tournaments where you can spread out the talent. But given how strong the player pool is, even the "weaker" sides or brackets are still very strong, so determining where you end up isn't as important in the grand scheme of things.

Regardless, it was an awesome event – setting the bar even higher for live event production quality.

Ah yeah ^ lik Pyo said. Close up shots on gamers with bad skin is maybe not the most flattering thing. Especially if the player himself have a complex about it. It works in GSL and in BW broadcasts since they have makeup artists. ![]()

-Ceremony was a bit off. Might want to have someone with some experience run it? -Overlay was blurry and couldn't see the scores. -That t-shirt guy was pretty... lets just say awkward (being nice here). If you want to give away t-shirts just have one of the personalities/players do it. Crowd would love it a lot more and I am sure some of the players would like that interaction with the crowd. -There were a few minor sound volume issues (but not really a big deal). -I didn't like that the two semis had a big break in between. Would prefer they be played right after each other. Some random positive notes -Anna and Rachael had some awkward moments but I think given the chance they could do a lot better. -dApollo is a very very good caster (bring him back!!!) -Doa and cats had very good chemistry but I prefer splitting them up and pairing them each with a pro player. However, again they were very entertaining and honestly Doa worked a lot better with CatsPajamas than with the GSL casters he normally pairs with. -Megumi should be given a shot to conduct some of the main stage interviews. She has much better insight than Anna and Rachael. - Would definitely tune into more IPL events so basically that is the best feedback I can give.

i love the idea that you can select player cameras. the free stream was in such high quality, there was no lag and all the graphics were super crisp. during the down-time it was always filled with funny interviews and content so you would never get bored. i also never heard this catspajama or whatever you spell his name dude before and he seems like a super nice guy, i love him. djwheat + apollo was a fantastic (and best) combo. i gave it a 9 just because there's always room for improvement (i.e. fancy 3d graphic intro like GSL) but EVERYTHING was so tight and professional. good job to anna too. gj gj gj i will buy the IGN prime next time for sure. pls select a better location though... LOL i don't think atlantic city was a smart choice >_>

Positives: *Great Venue ($2 shots at the Wild West Bar near by!) *Great Deal ($15 tickets that came with a swag bag) *Great production value *Loved the panel with Inc, MC, Select, and Stephano *Getting to see and say hi to a ton of pros in person Negatives: *Really difficult to figure out where to go/check in, I didn't get and couldn't find any information for the event, although I admittedly thought it would be easier to figure out so I didn't look too hard (Big ups to the IPL guy from San Fran with the awesome mustache for helping out!) *The player view screens were actually kinda pointless and I really would have liked to have just had a much larger main screen. *Not a great turnout, but good for their first event I guess. *HD is just not a great caster. (Loved basically everyone else though, DOA and Apollo especially) *League of Legends is a horrible horrible game for eSports. It simply doesnt have the potential SC2 has to become a real factor. I managed to get a few people interested in SC2 who had barely played or never played, but when they saw LoL they were just confused and bored beyond belief. Putting that on before the Semis was awful (but a great opportunity to have some drinks and watch football). However, on the flipside, I think it was a great experience to watch the first few days online (which I guess most of the ad revenue is coming from anyway). While I would have given the live event maybe a 6, the online experience was so good I'd give the event an 8 overall.

-Some observers were really bad. -We don't give a shit about seeing a player's face when a fight is happening -Don't fucking bring a stupid comedian -Sound wasn't the best but ok -Don't like HD nor CatsPajamas humor but that's just me i guess -Don't like the girl hosts thing. -We don't care about LoL, don't force us to watch it. -Lag issues with stream Pros : dApollo is the best caster/analyst after Artosis or Day9. He's very professionnal too. Bring him back for IPL 4 (MLG take notes) Nice to present the players before the games Nice production value (player views and such) Panel is the best thing i watched in a while (other than games) Having 3 casters duo is great but PainUser and HD weren't good imo espicially HD Tournament format is awesome but would prefer a losing bracket for the Championship finals Live on 3 at IPL was fun. Awesome roster, great sponsors Lanni.IGN <333333
