One thing I'd like to comment on is I think that tournaments like IPL and MLG should have dedicated observers for matches on the main stage(s). It makes it much easier for the casters to flow and analyze the game.

It's soo anticlimactic and awkward when a player steps out of the booth after a big win and there's just...silence. NASL and MLG does the same thing, just slap some cool music on for some effect like GSL does. This is especially important when there isn't a huge or loud crowd. Player presentations should also be done to music. I 1100000000% agree with this. It could also make the intros more epic, let the players pick a song they want to walk out to when they are on mainstage or whatever, would be really nice. I know for me I was showing one of my friends the finals who doesn't even have a computer of his own. He was into it the whole time, and I was giving him an explanation of everything going on and how huge of a win it was for Stephano to beat these Koreans, and then the ceremony happened..... His only comment about it was "man, that was really awkward". Attracting a new audience is a great problem to have but we've got to keep in mind that we don't want this whole experience to appear as some awkward nerd thing, we want them to equate it with the sports/competitions they are used to watching.

This, overall production was great but there is room for improvement regarding sound/music. The closing ceremony was reaaaally awkward. Seems like nothing was planned, thanking the loser of the finals for "his win", forgetting to give Stephano his trophy. David Ting have done an amazing job through the tournarment but he doesn't have to do all the ceremony alone. Especially as he is not the most confident speaker. It would have been fine if he just handed the check and trophy with a few words to end the tournament. Let the girlz handle the talk.

1. Having the hot girls MC was pretty awkward. It wasn't the girls themselves--who did quite a good job all things considering--but the fact that that aesthetic doesn't really mix with the players, casters, or crowds. Better to just have somebody very knowledgeable about esports and sc2 to run the interviews. JP has been good at other events. 2. Delaying sc2 for lol was a huge mistake since you lost (and more importantly, potentially alienated) European viewers who would have stayed up. Also if you're going to show something sc2 viewers hate, best to have it very clearly indicated when sc2 will come back. Otherwise great tourney. voted 9/10.

![]() To be fair, it was a million times better than the first lan attempts of the other major tournaments and I am sure it will only get even better. Don't think it was as good as the recent MLG's though. Also, I think the venue actually hurt it a lot, It seemed pretty dead as far as the live crowd went from a stream watching perspective. Which actually does add/detract to the experience of the watcher from home. The morning games in particular were super sparsely attended (I understand why, but it still stands.) I watched every day though. ![]()

My dissatisfaction was related to: #1 not bringing the best koreans(even thou there were alot of good koreans that I like the bigger names were missing) #2 the prize pool can always be bigger ![]() #3 I personally did not enjoy doa+catz casting #4 Artosis, Tasteless and day9 were missing #5 IPL3 was run in a casino so only +21 people could enter #6 SC2 viewers/fans were forced to watch LoL Finals or nothing RIGHT before the SC2 finals. I understand that u can plug it/u can delay the sc2 finals for the LoL finals BUT forcing people to watch lol finals or nothing was preatty bad. While plugging the LoL finals you could've put any game on the sc2 stream... maybe a fan favorite matchup or some production crew going at each other...anything else really. Even thou it may seem like I have pointed out alot of things that were lacking in the IPL I thought it was a great tournament. The production was top-notch, the games were good, the interviews were good, no problems related to the games/playeres. The players were treated well, the stream worked as good as it could. DjWheat and Apollo did a good job casting! If I am forgeting something sorry but overall the tournament was great! Good job.

+ At "best" quality you actually get a 50-60 fps stream, WOW! + The smaller screen in the bottom right showing the focussed faces of the players is awesome + All the stuff on stage looks really slick, especially the booths and the lighting. + Smooth editing, no excessive fillers between the matches Only one small improvement: - Sometimes loud music would start playing while casters were still talking/interviewing was being done As far as I'm concerned, IPL3 raised the bar on the production value of such live events. It seemed like the amount of people attending was not extremely high (maybe due to the location), let's hope that picks up in the future! Voted a well-deserved 9

- many simple mistakes (camera work, sounds in game, brigtness) - i dont like form of brackets play ( i think worst players from pool play should be eliminated or play in loser brackets or something like that) - small crowd - catz and doa they are good at casting but i their jokes was terrible and not funny + stream quality + prize pool + interviews + apollo and djwheat (great duo)

I will note 6/10 because its obvious staff put a lot of effort to realize this event and games were good.
