1: A Marauder replacement. The Marauder is generally supposed to be an infantry tank unit, but it's general power vs. armored turned it into the backbone of TvP play. This unit looks (as far as you can tell from a simple silhouette) to be more defense oriented. Marines in this composition would be the main damage dealers. Perhaps this unit would have some kind of AoE slowing effect, but would do fairly minimal damage. 2: A Reaper replacement. Again, it's hard to tell from a simple silhouette, but it could have jetpacks on it. My personal fears: 1: A SC2 Goliath. Seriously, if this thing is a Factory unit that's relatively cheap, comes from the Factory, and has ridiculous GtA damage and range, I'm done with SC2. We had to suffer through "all-Mech-all-the-time" in SC1, and I'm tired of it. It's time for something new, and "something new" doesn't mean "the same crap we've been playing for 12 years." I want Terrans to have to build something that doesn't come out of the Goddamned Factory. Getting rid of the Goliath was one of the best moves they made in SC2, and I'd hate to see them declare surrender and just basically turn Terrans into "people who build Factory stuff". Again. 2: A transforming unit. I'm fearful of this because Blizzard isn't going to give Terrans 3 transforming units. Blizzard categorically refuses to remove Siege Tanks, which means Vikings will have to go. Just when Terrans started to realize that Vikings on the ground can be pretty damned strong in some situations. I'm not a huge fan of Vikings (I think putting that kind of range on a flying unit causes more problems than it solves), but I really like the dynamic that their ability to drop to the ground can create. | ||

Also, why wouldn't they show the silhouette of a zerg unit first? You'd think that with it being HotS and all.... Just saying. They're doing it in campaign order. And campaign order is Terran->Zerg->Protoss. | ||

A) Could surely be a "neo-goliath" that can shoot ground and air, but would obviously need to stand apart from the Thor B) Could be a mech "support" unit. Perhaps like a "mech caster" to go alongside the bio and air casters. C) Perhaps Terran units will be able to "upgrade" ala Zerg morph. D) Honestly doubtful it's a new bio unit, because though someone put a big circle over a "flamethrower" to me it looks like a robot head. E) Ground melee mech unit. From the sillouette, it's totally guessable that this might be a terran non-ranged unit for a change. I'd prefer B or E. Terran melee would be interesting to add in. Mech caster / support would be good of course, though completely reliant upon abilities regarding balance. Anyway, pretty interested in what else there is to come. Also ignoring the nay-sayers who think Terran should have nothing interesting in the next expansion. Blizzard needs to show shiny new toys for all races, sometimes balance isn't about simply nerfing again and again, but throwing in more variety. And yes, terran already have that variety aspect, but from a design / marketing perspective it'd be stupid to ignore one race for an expansion because it's already good at what it does. | ||

And seriously guys, stop complaing about how this will make T (more) OP. Who knows what they could take out? If they take out marines for this, will it make T stronger? Almost certainly not. And who knows what P/Z will get as well. | ||
