it's hilarious that terrans complain about hellbats in tvt but laugh off any complaints about them in tvz, where it's pretty obvious that they're way too good against lings.

I think they are still a little vindictive over the whole infestor thing :p

It took Blizzard a long time to nerf infestors because many Zergs defended the perceived imbalanced until it became all too clear that they were way too good and must be nerfed. I fear Hellbats may go the same way.

Infestors were not nerfed that much, only the infested terran. The fungal is as good as ever, and the projectile change did not change much, it still hits most of the units in the field. Also the chain fungal is still incredibly overpowered and stupid design, once you get fungaled you cant disengage.

@ the poster above: Fungal projectile change didn't make it that difficult to hit. It's just like most other power spells like EMP and storm which take a small degree of timing. If you wanna talk about something which is difficult for non pros... try playing Terran.

Actually the fungal did get nerfed vs armoured units I believe. The infested terrans have been made useless. The projectile change has made it very difficult to hit fungals, especially for non pro players.

Infestors got 4 or 5 nerfs since late 2012 over the course of WOL and HOTS.

The projectile is so fast it still hits big chunks of marines and marauders, now you just need to have atleast a little prediction with the fungal.

but even if it was 200 it still wouldn't change the fact that they are too good against lings. because they have ranged and splash damage and get healed they function completely differently than lings cost per cost.

edit: okay i have read your other posts. no point to argue about starcraft with someone who has no clue about starcraft. ignored.

Even if you don't think Hellbats are true strong in TvZ then you must admit they still need a change for the sake of the once best matchup in the game.

I'm actually starting to like hellbats in TvT. There are just 2 problems with hellbats:
1. When both players go mass hellbat drops that the game becomes pretty redicilous.
2. Dropping hellbats ontop of pretty much any terran unit(and siege tank especially) is just to strong imo.

Hellbats is supposed to be the zergling and zealot counter, without it terran would be incomplete like it was in WoL.

What I don't get is that they get the best out of all worlds, only 100 mins, being bio with high hp that can be healed AND do such good amount of damage against even armored units. They do ok vs roaches, stalkers and even tanks in comparison to a hellion which costs the same but is not nearly as sturdy.

If you remove healing from them, they get weak. Because then they are too easily killed by zealots. Zealots were the main reason why hellbat was introduced.

I am not implying that they should remove the healing, what I am saying is that they overall have very little downside for their cost.

You could argue that marine is too cheap. 50 minerals, they hit air, they are fast, good dps, healed by medivac, 8 slots in medivac, also reactored.
