Broodwar teams wouldn't have this problems because they have contracts, salaries, money for trips, huge sponsors, a clear system for professional licenses, rules. Broodwar has everything SC2 needs in Korea. I wish they had a KEspa instead of an amateurish SC2con. Viva le Kespa! Yea I prefer smaller paid freedom over a higher paid slave system

Isn't that what most people complain about? too many koreans in foreign tournaments. Its funny, cause now people will say it won't be a big deal winning the NASL cause the lack of skill lol.

No korean teams = No thank you. I'd rather not watch a bunch of mediocre players compete...

It is the north american star league after all, and personally I would almost like to see it as only north american players, or all foreign players. To be perfectly honest I'm getting kind of sick just watching koreans absolutely destroy foreigners. Its getting to the point in most tournaments where it's not worth my time to watch before the top 8 because It's just blow-outs. Then in the top 8 its just koreans v koreans. I already have the gsl for that. When koreans started playing in more tournaments such as the nasl, or the exchange with mlg I was pumped. But now its starting to become lame and I kind of want the older more exciting matches back. How is it possibly more exciting when the skill level is so low without Koreans WITH exceptions of a FEW foreigners >>

They know the western market is huge and want to milk the cow, and NASL just got cheesed. I'm sure NASL will still get a lot of viewers but it's a pretty big blow, maybe also a bit of a warning to not get too attached to korea. I can see why you only get a few players flying to each event with these high demands. The farmer can't milk the cow if he doesn't get out of bed. Koreans brought home $84.5k USD after the last NASL finals, suddenly its not worth their while. Its their loss as much as NASL's.

Mr Chae has undoubtedly helped the esports seen so much, but first can we make clear which side is the one that is not accepting the offers? NASL? Teams? Mr. Chae? Mr.Chae seems to just be acting as a translator and mediator, he's not making any decisions.

( no offence to either player, but definitely a step down from the code A/S level of entertainment from last season)

If you don't like the format, don't sign up for qualifers to qualify into the league, don't sign paperwork, don't engage in talks, don't make NASL think that you're going to play in the NASL. It's that simple. That's why NesTea hasn't joined. What the Koreans did was show all intention of playing in the league, they played in all the qualifiers, than back out at the last minute. If you had a problem with the format, you don't engage in behavior that makes it look like you're going to play in the league. Yeah, format is beside the issue. But, I don't want to derail the thread, but the format does suck. For S3 they might want to consider regional divisions for the online portion at least. I'm not a fan of watching poor lag induced play either. Plus injection of players right into the playoffs in a 3 day tournament while players who invested the full 2-3 months into the regular season get screwed. That way you can have like top X from each region. Max X Koreans won't kill your budget if you just pay all their costs? Instead of a potential sweep of the playoffs lol. I dunno.
