It is the north american star league after all, and personally I would almost like to see it as only north american players, or all foreign players. To be perfectly honest I'm getting kind of sick just watching koreans absolutely destroy foreigners. Its getting to the point in most tournaments where it's not worth my time to watch before the top 8 because It's just blow-outs. Then in the top 8 its just koreans v koreans. I already have the gsl for that. When koreans started playing in more tournaments such as the nasl, or the exchange with mlg I was pumped. But now its starting to become lame and I kind of want the older more exciting matches back. So you like watching inferior play? Color me not surprised at your username.... Still I think people over-exaggerate how bad this is for NASL. They aren't going to lose a ton of viewers or anything. If a large portion of the top talent is gone then I'd personally love it if the remaining few dominate. If nothing else it would prove that SC2's got the skill ceiling to survive in the competitive scene, if anyone's still doubting this.

Its their loss as much as NASL's. The player who won most of that money was poached by a foreign team. Sure it's legal and business as usual, but I bet TSL is still bitter about that.

Its funny, cause now people will say it won't be a big deal winning the NASL cause the lack of skill lol. Nobody worth listening to has a problem with koreans winning foreign tournaments.

I have a feeling that either there's another side to this story, or the teams are declining for reasons other than expense. I was hoping that NASL would improve each season, but even though this specific factor is out of their control, it's not worth watching for me anymore. You people realize, $2000 barely covers airplane tickets right? Add in food, hotel, etc, they are definitely paying out of their own pockets. Now add in the opportunity cost: travel and preparation for this = less time to practice and focus on other tournaments (GSL/GSTL for example) Try to understand it from the Korean's pov.

Bear in mind Koreans arrived around 2 days early and the duration of the event meant they might have stayed up to 5 days. So they break even.

The NASL format is unacceptable for Korean competition, and that the Korean response has been arrogant and unfair. This issue should be seen in light of both facts. Personally however, I think the issue could have been partly resolved by first changing the NASL format for the Grand Final, then working on encouraging Koreans to come.

NASL.tv already explained in another post that it costs less than 2000$ to pay for costs.
