Here's a question, how the heck do we show our displeasure to this mysterious SC2Con if we can't stop buying GSL passes or whatever, since it's not GSL's fault? I mean without foreign money these guys are sitting on their thumbs for pennies. We should be able to do something as a group of pissed off fans.

Not to sound bad or anything, but i dont totaly, mine atlest a season being played with out them, Its fun to see some NA and EU names taking home the top places, granted the compation(sp) level is less, but still a little throw backy compared to how other torements are now. So not total bad but will miss MC's antics

I really wonder what SC2Con's reasoning is, are they actually too poor to pay the security deposits?

disappointing to say the least. However, i can understand. playing with lag is tough and especially changing your sleep schedule for a couple of months just for a league in a different country.

I don't think that mattered one bit to the Koreans... Considering they all signed the contract and said they would do it. this is not them pulling out because its too hard for them, it is them pulling out because they got greedy.

I don't really think this is such a terrible thing. The neat thing about NASL last season was the competition between mid level Koreans and top level "white dudes". We still get that level of competition, but with more chances for foreigners.

The Koreans are going to have to learn that this is the price of competition in the foreign tourneys. In the long run, this decision leads to more parity.

i'll watch MC games for sure and try invite Destiny hes fun to watch, beside hes already got fans based in JTV. i hope the grand finals stage will be better, maybe the lack of fans atmosphere also contribute to the Koreans decisions.

For the people saying 2000 is enough and more than enough, think about this. WHY WOULD NASL SAY 2000 THEN WHEN THEY COULD JUST SAY all expenses paid. The cost is OBVIOUSLY more >_> Jesus...

the more and more i read this thread it makes me wonder can if nasl can take some legal action against sc2con?

need some lawyers or law students in the thread plz!!!

Any financial satisfaction they could possibly get wouldn't be worth the massive negative impact of such a decision.

NASL should buckle up and fix some of the issues last season had if they have long term plans to stay in SC2. They should also consider reducing prize money by 30-50% per season.

I get the feeling Koreans are getting spoiled a bit with the MLG/GSL deal to the point where they want the same travel/accommodation deal and are forgetting that the prizepool of NASL is 10x bigger.

And the TSL coach had the guts to diss on the EG-Puma deal. How selfish.

because then they ask for first class, hotel with 17 stars, etc.

I may get chewed out and laughed at for this, but I'm actually indifferent by this. It is the north american star league after all, and personally I would almost like to see it as only north american players, or all foreign players. To be perfectly honest I'm getting kind of sick just watching koreans absolutely destroy foreigners. Its getting to the point in most tournaments where it's not worth my time to watch before the top 8 because It's just blow-outs. Then in the top 8 its just koreans v koreans. I already have the gsl for that.

When koreans started playing in more tournaments such as the nasl, or the exchange with mlg I was pumped. But now its starting to become lame and I kind of want the older more exciting matches back.

Then encourage foreigners to better. The solution isn't to bring the tournament down to the foreigner's inferior level.

Hey NASL, I just want you to know that I really enjoyed season 1 and even though koreans won't be participating, we'll still see some amazing games from foreigners. Good luck in season 2!

Because all expenses paid means all, people take the piss and go and fly business class and stay in 5 star hotels.

Because then they could spend more that was required.

Try to think before you post. Obviously NASL doesnt want to lose the Koreans so they would have figured out the cost for reasonable travel to and from Korea and then offered them something around there.
