I think giving a map that has been around about 1/4 the time as meta more time in the pool to see if it keeps following what their data is telling them now much more of a reasonable answer than just throwing it out only after a few months of play.


Do not troll me, I'm really not in the mood. You know as well as i do, that before shattered temple was re visioned, It was the lost temple. Also you should know Lost temple was released as one of the first map in Day 1 beta. You also know blizzard's reasoning behind removing Metalopolis and if you have an IQ over 75, You will understand the same reason should apply to shattered temple.

So i say again, Do NOT troll me. I'm really not looking forward to playing shit season 3, on shit maps. I'm in a bad enough mood as it is.


You actually don't classify the changes they made to Lost Temple as big enough to warrant a new time frame for gathering data on it? If you honestly think that then...idk I'm dumbfounded.

I agree with the metalopolis removal. Close positions is just stupid on that map, it was getting to be stale games, and the natural is way too wide and annoying to defend. Looks like most of the upcoming maps have relatively tight naturals, allowing for easier fast expand builds.

Do people really want the same maps in EVERY SEASON? I've been playing metal for over a year now, and I'm tired of it. Balance wise, close positions are so damn annoying (same prob with shattered). Hopefully blizzard can get their shit together and come up with some interesting, balanced maps. No destructible rocks please.

Their reasoning wasn't close positions.. Their reasoning was it being a Zerg-favored map.... I have serious doubts about Blizzard. I played the test maps on PTR and the only thing I'm glad about is that I'll be able to veto most of them. Also, Shattered Temple Rush distance Close positions is much faster than Close positions metal.

Well the stats don't lie I guess, I'm not suprised tal'darim has such a high z win rate. Shame about metal though, was a good map without close spawns.

Removing metal and not shattered is indeed one of the silliest things blizzard has done. They suffer the same imbalances.

Metal is an awful map, I dunno why so many people are angry about it being removed. :/ Yea, it was good compared to most Blizzard maps.. but.. that's really not saying much at all. It's not hard to be better than most Blizzard maps lol.

I rejoice in all the removeal choices except for Meta, but I don't mind that either. Just like blizz said, in close pos it's basically guaranteed somebody will do something cheesy/all in.

REJOICE! No more delta or scrap! Also no more slag. Well, I had all these maps vetoed anyway, looks like blizzard agrees ^^

I would've taken out backwater and put DQ back in honestly lol.

And considering the stated imbalance about Tal'darim... it will probably go in season 4. Or tweaked at least. I like the maps layout. Maybe it's just too big and open.

If Metalopolis makes a return to the ladder pool in the future, it will likely receive some balance tinkering.


translation: "we need to figure out how to add destructible rocks to metalopolis before we can put it back in the map pool."

Huzzah! I like the 1v1 removals. The only one I would consider changing is maybe keeping metalopolis and getting rid of xel'naga caverns. Out of the two, it's XC that I downvote. Granted, metal also had its issues; I hated playing Zerg on that map. I even prefer TvZ on tal'darim altar over metalopolis, since at least my hellions can run around on tal'darim. In metal there's only two tight corridors, both of which have to walk right past the watchtowers. :\

Aside from that, all but one of my downvotes have been opened up! :D If the new maps prove to be awful like everyone is pre-emptively crying they will be, I can just use my free downvotes on them. I like playing on typhon and backwater, though, and a lot of people hate those, so... I may very well enjoy the new maps anyway.

Why don't they remove it if they want to get rid of "old maps"?
Metalopolis is one of the best maps at this moment ...

This really makes me not ladder at all. I hate how stubborn Blizzard is ... they really have some clueless map makers.

I think it's borderline hilarious that zerg had 60% winrate at the highest level of competition, and zergs complained the most about this map.
