It's called Rockapolis


Its called Rock.

Its an island map with just 1 big destructible rock. When you destroy the rock, all the terrain disappears and thus concludes a tie, making this the most balanced map possible.

antiga really sucks, there are several bugs on it and i just don't like the tileset used on it.
rest of the maps look good, especially for protoss^^

The new map for Season 4:

Rock Labyrinth

The entire map is just a flap square that has no features other than open ground. However, there are destructible rocks in every single piece of space on the ground so it is impossible to go anywhere unless you break the rocks in a pathway to where you want to go. Until you break the rocks to make a pathway to your natural, you are stuck on one base. This will encourage macro play and help to keep less experienced ladder players from feeling anxious, knowing that a 400 foot wall of rock protects them from their enemies.
How does it feel knowing you wasted another 3 seconds of your life reading this again?

I really hate the fact that the ladder map pool is almost completely different from the map pool used by all major tournaments. I find it much more enjoyable to watch tournament games on maps that I'm familiar with; and I enjoy playing on maps that I've seen pro players play on. It annoys me that Blizzard can't get its act together and make maps that are acceptable to major tournament organizers.

I can't believe Blizzard put Destructible Rocks into the map pool! It is so biased against Destructible Rocks because of fundamental flaws such as Destructible Rocks. They took out the destructible rocks blocking the thirds on Nerazim and made them normal expos instead of gold. That map is super solid. It's rotationally symmetrical, has an accessible 3rd that's not totally free, and has medium/long rush distances across all positions. Honestly I can't find much to complain about.
