The idea is similar, it might be okay for us to have our photoshoped photo floating around the internet, but that is because we won't be famous enough to be recognized and assocaited with the photo. Just imagine your family, friends and coworker found homosexual content with your face on it, it would be horrible.

Anyone who would do something like that surely is immature in the sense that they are 'kids', despite what their age says. But ya, if you want to nitpick then it could be anyone for sure, I just haven't met an adult who could actually justify doing such a thing unless it was out of 'fun and giggles'.

If it was the law in the UK, US, Sweden, Russia, Antartica or where ever these trolls are from to be able to prosicute people for what they do online then the internet would be a much better place as alot of these offensive people would not do what they do. Anybody trying to argue against what she is doing are most likely people who like to troll forums, twitter etc themselves, and dont like the fact that people like them are finally publically being called out for what they do and are scared.

sorry but this is the internet, the one place where people can express a controversial opinion without tarnishing their real life personality. maybe they're trying to be funny, clever or get attention... or maybe they're just a douche in real life... regardless, that's the internet. calling the police to deal with internet trolls is pretty dumb.

Embarrassing yes, but that is part of what happens on the internet, people may find a picture on the internet and do whatever they want with it because that is anonymity of internet. I certainly wouldn't like it if someone did do that, but what I wouldn't track those people down and send them to jail because they sexually harassed me. I don't know their motives, I don't know if they do it for fun or are doing it out of jest, and I shouldn't care if they did it out of malice. People on the internet aren't the same people they are in real life, keyboard warriors like me exist everywhere, but to jail people in real life because they were being huge jackasses? That is a step too far.

Wouldn't living in a world without flamers be so much more enjoyable? Sure, we would lack the occasional idra ragequit, but thats a price worth paying. Therefore: Go ahead Jessica, give 'em hell! Edit: It deeply disturbs me that so many of you consider harrassing and flaming as a normal and acceptable part of internet culture

You can't see the problem with this?

Don't accuse me of nitpicking when you're making blatant comments about other people based on what limited information you have, and a whole load of assumptions. You're being inconsistent with your descriptions. You mention kids and adults in your post, now you deviate to 'kids are immature individuals, age irrelevant'. Just because you haven't met an adult who could justfify bla bla, doesn't mean they don't exist. Do you mean to tell me adults(21+) do such things then jump right out to meet you? An inappropriate example to justify your argument.

This is a bit more than light insults. How would you feel if your face was photoshopped onto a pornstar's body, and the world saw it? This is not an overreaction on her part. She does seem out for blood indeed, but the imagery takes it a step too far imo. Apparently this kind of thing is kinda frequent in Korea and has led to celebrity suicides, not sure if this is true, I read it somewhere so it could be bullshit.
