I feel like if someone was stupid enough go that far to defame an innocent person, then Jessica should go tenfold the distance.

If I was a sensitive 16 year old girl that turned into a female programer (definitely not the first female sc2 programer I would think?), I wouldn't be going on message boards looking for hate threads about me. I'd be training hard and getting better at sc2 so I can prove that sensitive 16 year old female progamers can play at the highest level.

I'm pretty sure many here would be pretty offended too if their mums/sisters were the targets instead. Dissing her for her skill is one thing. The porn pic has much severe implications.

i'd support the idea that these people will be forced to come out and apologize publicly, let them feel shame like what they are trying to do to the girl.

At least the first female (sc2) programmer in Korea. Ignoring the hate doesn't make it disappear

I definitely see a distinction between free speech and harassment (stalking), but a single innocent image that is floating around in a never-to-be-seen database does not equal harassment. However, if said picture is being uploaded everywhere, if a stream of pictures gets into your social surroundings and all attempts to remove it are being met with forever more pictures being released, then I definitely agree with a 'slap on the wrist' type of punishment as long as it stays off the police record. But honestly, ignoring said pictures will be the best option anyway as they die out and fall of the radar soon enough anyway.

We should probably just wait and see what Jessica says about the incident at a later stage, but seeing all the comments directed at police regulation of the internet is insane. Basically you're saying that if you send sick photo, letter to the person directly, it wouldn't count as harassment, because it isn't avaiable publicly? Then I'm sure most sexual harassment court case wouldn't stand then. You hear it folks, it's fine as long no one else sees it!

But you are just a random someone who is so self-important that you consider you point of view to be the most intelligent one. Arrogance isn't a quality you should hone. Maybe this girl has friends who are telling her what happen ? Maybe her parents are aware of it ? So much you don't know and you still judge.

This isn't North America or Europe or anywhere, this is Korea, a country steeped on respect. The person in this situation also isn't a 25 year old nerd who doesn't give a crap about the world. This is a 40 something year old actress who is actually a REAL public figure who has given up her career to manage this e-sports team. 99.9% of us here will never know what it is like to do something like that and have as much passion as she does for what she is doing. Just something to think about before you go "luls stop overreacting Jessica". I highly agree with this. It's easy for most of us here on TL to shrug off haters and trolls but you can't say the same for Koreans as they have a different outlook. Also, I highly doubt that majority of the haters are simply posting a Korean version of "umad?".

You realise ladder is locked, I don't think its that impossible to drop a game in placement, I remember drewbie dropped a game in 1 of his placement matches on his new coL account, and he started in platinum.
