Still NBA and the likes have cheerleaders no? This is not a new phenomena. And it won't go away either.

If SlayerS decided to recruit me to play for them, and paid me a salary and I wasn't any good at what I did, why would anyone, anywhere expect to take me seriously. Would you go to your doctor if you saw his most impressive qualification was finishing the second grade? No her being a girl isn't my point, her being crap is my point. I could care less if Eve was a guy and he was in gold league or whatever. If he got flamed on the internet for being bad at sc2 it's his problem, after all, he is getting PAID by SlayerS to represent them. You misunderstand my point entirely, and please if you're any better than the trolls on the internet you shouldn't tell me to GTFO basically. Her skills shouldn't be the point here, the point here is CYBER BULLYING, get it straight

Not to mention the massive amount of trashing her character. Things that will follow her for her whole career if it goes on(Regardless of if she's the best player in the world or not). No, I don't think Slayers_Jessica overreacting. As for her skill level, Slayers has taken Diamon level players before and trained them. Why is it such a big deal that this one happens to not have a penis?

Have you played her on ladder or in private? Have you seen her play on a stream before? I don't think anyone else has. Maybe you think SlayerS isn't good enough to decide themselves who should be on their team? Maybe you think you could do a better job judging a person you don't even know or have seen play?

This drama is a complete waste of time and not what being a starcraft 2 pro-gamer is about. The internet will always say anything and everything imaginable about everyone, taking to the police only lends credence to otherwise meaningless chatter.

Sounds like someone that's been sheltered their whole life is just now realizing the world is a shitty place. The best way she can get over this is produce some results. Nobody will fuck with her then

I'm not going to have any opinion on this as I'm not even nearly related to that. And that is what some people here should do, too. I agree completely. It's a good thing to have no opinion sometimes, especially when all the information is not available.

I'm sure everything is fine if they just comment thing like "i don't think she will be able to stay in Slayers", ....... but instead, people posting offensive comments and pictures which put Eve down, is that appropriate? Is jessica sueing those idiots for saying she's a gold league and she does not belong to the Slayers team? or is she sueing for cyber bullying and sexual harrassment? 1) As I said before, it's for the point of being heard. Have you ever seen people protesting on the street? Why don't they just stay home and post something like "I disagree" on the internet? Going overboard when expressing you opinion is the best way to be heard. 2) Calling photoshops "sexual harassment" is just ridiculous. I've seen pictures of Artosis and Tasteless on bodies of naked women, oh wow, they should sue those photoshoppers. 3) The consequences of being sued are infinitely worse then insulting someone on the internet. It cuts into your career a lot, while Eve lost nothing at all. 4) Not EVERYONE she sued was defacing Eve, she also targeted people who merely disagreed with her.

Are these postings in bad taste? Of course. But going to the police for being flamed/trolled is just silly.

All I'm saying is that it should be expected that people act the way they do. Some will operate out of spite, others out of some form of twisted justice, but it is to be expected. You can't shelter a public figure like that, it is mean and cruel to sexually harass Eve but it is just how the some factions of the public were bound to react. Whether you should press charges, that is a bit extreme, defamation is a crime but these are just trolls on the internet, not major news sites, these are just trolls. If you don't want to read their comments you should just avoid things like that, do you think celebrities go on forum boards and read the articles about themselves? Why should Eve care what these trolls say about her? She knows that she is better than them why do their opinions matter so much to Jessica and Eve?

In cases of actual defamation it's reasonable to go to the authorities, but the vast majority of the stuff I've seen has nothing to do with defamation. Flaming is not defamation, offending someone is not defamation, negative opinions are not defamation, photoshops are not defamation. Are these postings in bad taste? Of course. But going to the police for being flamed/trolled is just silly. you forgot sexual harrassment, is that worthy yet?

maybe you're used to trolls on the internet, but try once again to imagine what it is like to see abuse in life right before your eyes. people are spreading all of this information, and even pictures---ones that are shared over the net with others remember that kim ga yeon is a celebrity herself frankly i'm impressed that she would try to take these matters into her own hands that is her own right as much as it is for her to be lashing out at people who are speaking directly or indirectly to her the worst consequence might be the cost of her own popularity but it's obvious she weighed many things in before committing to do something about all this
