Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.
Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please. |

Just accept that you can't play in the tourney Just a minor annoyance though, hope it won't cause too much bad PR for Sixjax. Just a minor annoyance? Really? He was told he couldn't participate, then proceeded to break the rules and participate anyways by using someone else's account and smurfing his way through the tournament. Clan hopping, BMing, cheating in tournaments, how much more does he have to do before people realize what a jerk he is?

I was never a fan of Major, but it is what it is. He's just digging himself an even bigger hole, sadly.

Major, you are killing esports, seriously.
No, really, do you people need to do a big deal out of everything? He acted childish(like he always does), got kicked out of the tournament, i dont see the need for a 20 page thread over this but i must be the only one.

It looks minor that it was a situation born of miscommunication in a small SEA tourney, but the fact remains that Major smurfed his way into a tournament that he knew he was not permitted to play in. The scale of the tournament shouldn't matter - if he was smurfing into TSL after not qualifying, it would be a similar situation. You can't justify his actions whatsoever.
As for why SEA limits participants by region - SEA is one of the weakest servers, and most tournaments within the region want to provide tournament experience for the players on that server without letting them get overwhelmed by superior players that have far more tournaments available to them. This is the same mentality as TSL1/2 not allowing Koreans. There have been SEA tournaments that allowed fully open registrations (one of them being won by a ST progamer), but each tournament has its own rules and organizer.
Yes, you can argue that it creates less competition or limits skill, and I would agree with you, but I'm not the one organizing these - and the priority of the organizers is to create tournaments for the SEA community first and foremost.

pretty sure artosis chose major to be on sixjax for his skills, not his personality/morals

What're you trying to say by that?
Is it that Major is so gosu that he should get away with everything?
Is it that SEA is just a small community so cares? We got some SEA boys heading over there I'm sure they can share a word or two with Major.
Please explain.

Thank you TT1. It really isn't a big deal I'm sure other pros have smurfed before as well he may have handled it incorrectly but it's not like he was crushing a bronze newbie tourney it was still skilled players.

I hope some other tournaments ban this guy. He has been the epitome of unprofessional during his entire career. Im pretty sure it wont hurt the fan draw to lose the 7 fans he somehow managed to acquire.

You do understand that at one time TT1 was a hacker right? So just because TT1 said so doesn't make it right.. or not that big of a deal..

I know this thread is about major, but what happened to gerlan? I hope he wasn't punished as severely as major was, because all he did was trust major with his account. He even checked to make sure major wasn't signed up, so maybe he didn't see any harm in it. It looks like his intentions were NOT to cheat the system.

Well I think it's a big deal...
and i've been around since the start of startcraft 2! Thats almost 1 year now! :p

So breaking rules is not a big deal now? If TSL was restricted to non-Koreans and some Korean smurfed his way into the tournament would you say it's "not a big deal"?
The scale of the tourney does not matter, what's being discussed here is the integrity of said player who is breaking rules because he thinks he's entitled to it.
