There's a lot of room for crazy micro. I'm not saying your wrong- I just want to point out that comparing a 1 and 11 year old game isn't apt.

im zerg (high diamond) and all I hear all time on streams or from commentators is you NEED TO be ahead by 1base in zvt/zvp in order to play succesful macro game. Now when I play and terran goes tank/rine push and I did such fast third build im never able to hold it, same goes for 6gate/5gate robo from toss. So after this experience I started to favour early tech instead of fast third. As soon as I started doing this i just seem to crush any T/P midgame push/plan and expo+counter right away wich usually nets me win or puts me ahead. Now im asking why its said that you have to keep one base up of ur oponent when ur zerg?

It's a heavy attack that if unsuccessful puts Protoss incredibly behind. It's design is to catch a fast third underdefended and inflict heavy damage or outright kill Zerg. So if you stay on equal bases and go for higher tech.. Hey, you can win the fight and if your counter goes flawlessly then cripple or kill your opponent. At least that's what I think! As far as I'm concerned with ZvT I keep 1 base up not for mining but for production. Since it's a macro hatch in my natural I don't really count that as staying ahead one base. Those would be my thoughts.

I know some zergs are already starting to go blind roach warren to counter it kind of like right after the whole TLO "megarax" there were a lot of zergs making a blind bane nest. I would expect it to really pick up for the next week or so, and depending on success and possible zerg solutions to the build, you'll see it eventually die down as people shift back to whatever build they are most comfortable with. I remember the days when people would start marauders, switch to hellions and then switch to banshees. I was shocked when that build went away because it was such a pain in the butt to deal with until you hit muta. I think all of the marine heavy strats from pro-players diverted a lot of attention from those builds. I'll definitely be putting up a roach warren more often, but I'm trying to do anything blind :p. What do you guys think about the interview? edit : Im not entirely sure if this warrants a new thread. If it does, I'll be happy to post one. I'd rather have a defiler, although that will probably break the game. Lurkers would be cool, but I feel like that wouldn't be enough. It's like someone took your ice cream cone, ate half of it and handed it back to you. If you're going to take it away, I'd at least want something cool in it's place and I've never felt like zerg has had that, even with roach/burrow.

In this interview DB mentions that they are aware of the issues with fungal growth. I was also aware of these problems, I thought, but Dustin mentions that they're still not sure if it's strong enough, that it may be too weak. This is quite the opposite of what I thought, what are your opinions on this?

There's a pretty heavy line between useless post/blog and acceptable but if it's really bad.. Anyway, cheers and welcome to Team Liquid! Oh yeah Baseic: He does not say there is a problem. This is the quote DB: There's currently a concern with the Zerg Infestor's power fungal growth. I still hear a lot of complaints about the Zerg still not being strong enough, as well as Terrans still being too flexible. Concern is a very different connotation than problem. Problem implies it's broken. Concern means they're worried it might be but aren't sure. Afaik fungal isn't OP, T/P not getting HT/Ghosts is shooting them in the foot. YO JIN RO Where's the August thread?

I might be wrong but I think there should be at least another two months before the game is drastically altered.. again.

Excluding the obvious (Things that tournament maps prohibit like walling the bottom of ramps and close positions) the game is balanced enough as is without nerfing infestor or marines. I might be wrong but I think there should be at least another two months before the game is drastically altered.. again. Okay, I don't mean to turn this into a balance discussion, but I was hesistant to use infestors as I thought they were too strong and would get nerfed. Reading the interview made me doubt, rightfully.
