Orly? A quick trip to liquipedia (and knowledge from my own experience) tells me that emp outranges feedback. Emp has a range of 10 while feedback has a range of 9, neither of which happen to be 7. On top of this, emp has a radius of 2, meaning that a unit an extra 2 units of distance away from the centre of the emp can be hit, giving it a maximum range of 12.
Please look up the facts before posting such things.
In regards to the video, there was a thread on the subject that eventually came to the conclusion that a great deal of pixel precision was needed to use this technique on anything other than a ridiculously small testmap, and is far easier to click the ghost itself, which consists of many pixels, rather than the one pixel on the minimap.

It's been going off and on the ladder for a while. I know some zergs are already starting to go blind roach warren to counter it kind of like right after the whole TLO "megarax" there were a lot of zergs making a blind bane nest. I would expect it to really pick up for the next week or so, and depending on success and possible zerg solutions to the build, you'll see it eventually die down as people shift back to whatever build they are most comfortable with.

State actually used to stream on TL a fair bit, though back then he was from the clan tQ. Now he plays for vile gaming, the team that has the likes of spanishiwa, hawk (who also made a good run through the open bracket), hashe and ddoro. I guess a little while back they felt that he was improving and picked him up and the latest MLG shows this. He has been around for quite a while but I'm not sure if he has made quite an impressive run for his standards so far.

A new Dustin Browder interview about Heart of swarm was published today. here is the link:Starcraft 2 HoS interview with Dustin Browder
He talks talks about the multiplayer balance as well as the potential changes in HoS. To me the stuff he said seems entirely reasonable and promising. Apparently, Blizzard is not as oblivious to game balance and the demands of the community as people say.
What do you guys think about the interview?
edit : Im not entirely sure if this warrants a new thread. If it does, I'll be happy to post one.

Are there going to be new units added to the multiplayer version of HotS? I honestly think the game is fine the way it is in terms of units, but you never know.

I can't see Blizzard launching HotS without tweaking the multiplayer in some way.

their will definitely be some changes, it would be completely unlike blizzard otherwise.
also, i do receiving/shipping for a construction/engineering company and i just made an order and the shippers name is Todd and i read his signature and read it as "toss".. closed it and reopened it and was like haha i must be slipping and NOPE he signed it as Toss.

Stupid question perhaps, but why are there so few people streaming? I haven't seen more than 2 zergs streaming at the same times these days..
|
I really like DB's (and thus Blizzard's) attitude towards multiplayer balance. Some units, like the corruptor, are just uninspiring. Take 'em out and replace with something better and more dynamic! That's the kind of philosophy we need to see. We don't want a game bloated with too many units, but with just enough, each playing interesting and dynamic roles.

I wouldn't touch that statement with a thermal lance.

I agree with you and Dustin Browder has been pointing towards this in a couple of other interviews, I really hope it's going to happen. There are a lot of boring units in SC2. I'm talking corruptors, overseers, ravens, (could have been made a lot more interesting) etc.

Idk about you guys but im in gold(diamond level player tho ) and it seems like EVERYONE has switched to zerg. Are you guys in other leagues seeing more zergs? I know earlier it was like no zergs at all
|
Well, you know I'm in diamond but I really should be in grandmaster on KR server. I mean I live at my parents but it's just to save on taxes cause I should have a mansion lol.
...
See how that sounds?

There has been an increased amount of zergs on the ladder since April. Personally I rarely get ZvT, it mostly being ZvP/ZvZ.

This is a question on GSTL Season 1
On gomtv.net, the schedule shows F. United is scheduled to play MVP on August 11, Jupiter Group Week 7. Someone's told me in Justintv chat that, according to Liquipedia, F.united is actually playing on like August 4 or so, earlier than the 11th. Can anyone confirm when F. United's first match takes place? I really want to be around to see FOX members with Naniwa, Thorzain, and Fenix in their first match.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm a big fan of vile at the moment, they're a lot like how fxo used used to be (sorry deL). I'll be keeping an eye out for him in the NA tourneys from now on.

We don't want a game bloated with too many units, but with just enough, each playing interesting and dynamic roles. Indeed. The thing with Brood War was that almost every unit's effectiveness scaled with your skill. You could achieve unbelievable results against units that countered yours if you had great unit control. but some units in SC2 don't have that - sometimes it feels too hardcounter-ish. It is great that blizzard is looking to improve upon the aspect of unit versatility. As far as adding a new unit is concerned, its kind of tough to foresee the effects a new unit will have upon gameplay. Obviously there will be unit changes but Blizzard does not know if those units will be used the way they intended then to. Still, their comments for a unit similar to lurker for zerg and a harassment unit for protoss seem encouraging - these are things that even the pro-gamers wish for to be added to the game. Anything that increases the options of a race while maintaining balance is awesome for the game.
