In nasl, did finalists make a deal or did they play a game for 25,000 dollars ?
In general, is it common to make deals in big tournaments like in poker ?

hey guys, and how is everyone, its my first time actually registering to team liquid after a few videos got me to top bronze but now im getting hammered......This is a whole new planet but i love the what you guys are doing and have been doing. Keep up TEAMLIQUID MASTERS.

and what happened to the days when bronze players used to play full games and make it interesting, as far as i knwo the last 25 games i played 12 i was rushed like a sloth on a branch..

If you want help getting out of bronze, it will take more than videos. The only sure way to learn this game is to play it and the Practice Partner Thread will supply you with people around your level to practice specific builds with. I'd suggest this over ladder due to, as you said, the prevalence of rushing.

People didn't start rushing more often, you just started facing harder opponents. At the start of bronze no one really knows how to play so all games are fun, easy and slow. But once you get to the top you've reached the level of "I learned one rush and do it every time". If you keep progressing you'll soon enter the regular non 6 pool strategy game (played at a lower level).

Again, read the commandments, read all the Strategy Forum Guidelines before posting (especially since we'll be having another purge of bad threads/posts soon) and be respectful of veterans. Follow that and you'll find TL the best SC website on the internet!

the other day i saw huk playing a ums game where you race 7 laps vs other people. each lap has several mineral fields you must get to which changes your unit and abilities. does any one know the name of this ums?

here it is starting about 1:19, i just can't translate it. perhaps it's korean server only?

Just wondering how I would go about correctly microing my units. Usually, I make a decent sized army of stalkers, zealots, immortals, sentries, and collosi and then just control group 4 them and send them in, or maybe blink the stalkers in for a bit of harassment. However, the more I watch replays of pros, the less I see anything close to that. Someone wanna give me some tips on how to correctly micro my units?

Yeah, you're going to want to put your blink stalkers and collosus out on another hotkey so you can quickly blink or step your colo back from danger if vikings or corruptors start hitting them. Ask this again in Simple Question, Simple Answers or do a search of the Strategy forum for more in depth results.

Also, eventually you'll get to a point where you'll find jerks like me that laugh hysterically at 1 hotkey syndrome by attacking in multiple spots in rapid succession so your army can't respond to the current threat.

The whole finals were full of pretty awesome matches...July and Moon, Select and MC, and Puma and July are the ones I remember off the top of my head...Huk's also been doing pretty well in the GSL Code S, so that might be worth checking out too.

I'm assuming Air to Air (As in corruptors, they can only shoot other air units). I just realized they're the only pure AtA unit in the game..

I'd counter Roach Infestor Corruptors with HT and Blink Stalkers. You'd ahve a lot more luck asking this question in Simple Question Simple Answers however.

He switched over to Zerg recently, it's what he played in BW and said he never really felt comfortable as Terran so he's switching back to Zerg.

I already have the SEA version of starcraft installed so I can play on SEA and US servers. I am now living in Taiwan. Will installing the Taiwan version create any problems, ie will I end up with two installs of starcraft that allow me to use either Taiwan or SEA servers?

I am using OS/X if its relevant.
