What this means for the NASL is completly obscure. Nobody knows for sure if there will be a second season after this announcement. I don't really see why this is in the OP? NASL has been greenlit for AT LEAST 3 seasons since day 1 afaik.
Either way, GL to NASL, I personally enjoyed his casting but I think this is for the best, playing professionally while trying to cast something with as many games as NASL is simply too much for anybody IMO.

I think this is best for incontrol. The guy clearly has a passion for playing, and this was drawing him quite thin, both intellectually and physically, but I think the criticism was also getting him emotionally.
I personally liked incontrol's commentary over most of the other NASL casters, so I'm a bit sad but hopefully nasl will bring on some A-list casters for season 2!

I even spoke about how gretorp will continue casting alongside other casters and I will make guest appearances.
We are also running a qualifier atm for season 2... please fix OP

I am really excited to see EG's skill explode once they have a team house. GL Geoff!

iNcontroL leaving sotg makes much more sense with this announcement, glad to hear you're going to focus on playing more in the future, GL =D

Good career move for Geoff, in my opinion. He was great for NASL but there's a number of capable people with less on their plates than him that can pick up where he left off. GL

Hmm, Well I have nothing to say that isn't speculation, so but best of luck in whatever's next!

Hmm I really dont know how long NASL will last to be honest. And when they say leaves NASL, I know he is still infor the second season (correct me if im wrong) does this mean he will not be participating as a player either?
Lol after all that hype he decides to leave, i guess it just wasnt what he expected, it sure as hell wasnt what most of us expected either after the way he hyped it. Although it did improve quite alot over the months.
Best of luck to geoff in his future endevors , im wondering though if hes moving to pheonix is anna going with him? clearly she wouldnt be living in the pro house as i heard sir scoots say there was barely enough room for the players. So im wondering whats going to happen with them ><
Obviously its none of my business but I still am curious, I heard people like Demuslim will be spending a month or so at a time at the pro house, maybe geoff plans to do something more like that. More like bootcamp training in intervals ^^

Probably my favorite caster of NASL, too bad. I liked his calm but poignant manner.

Do you really think InControl was the only thing keeping NASL together?
The playoffs have really started to generate interest and financially they are backed for 3 seasons.
I have a hard time believe it all falls apart w/o him (I was always a little fuzzy on this, but was he even a partner for them? I assumed he was employed by them).
|
Good idea imo, he definatly has potential but just got way too bogged down in other stuff i think, best of luck cant wait to see the new improved practised geoff :D
|
I am very glad for incontrol, hope he trains harder and get better tournament results.
|
Sad to see you leave as a caster, but holding high hopes for your future as a player :D
|
Glad that Incontrol will have more time to practice again - he's one of the players that helps me improve a lot from watching him play. GOGOGOG INC :D

There are some rumors going on about this. The NASL has no major partners that are known and iNcontroL was the person promoting the league in february, which gave him a really strong position regarding to the league.
I really hope that the league is going on and i trust in the guarantes about the next two seaons, but i am not sure if the league will consist after the three seasons, because i think financially it will be hard, even if the stream-views are raising.
But it´s all about speculation. Let us see :>

NOOOOOO so sad (( Favorite NASL caster, BUT the question is......
Will you return to SOTG?!
|
I don't know if iNcontroL is reading this or not, but if he is:
You were a really good caster, but I understand your decision. You won't be as good at StarCraft 2 as you can possibly be unless you devote yourself to it. Doing other things like casting surely gets in the way of that. I'm actually quite happy for you that you made this decision. I think it's a good one. Gl hf man!
|
Be careful what you wish for....
|
I'm a big fan of INcontrol, just not so much as a caster (maybe with more of a stronger production value and partner at his side aka DJ Wheat or Day9). However, I wish him good luck at new endeavors@
|
Good news I think, all of EG practicing a lot more.
The casting stuff on the side is cool but good to see them looking to bootcamp it now.
