Congratulations on the decision, iNcontroL. I hope the extra time you can devote to training pays off and you get the results you're aiming for.

As much as I will miss Incontrol casting the NASL, it will be absolutely fantastic to see him put more effort and time into his progaming career. Would've loved to see him compete in this Dreamhack Summer and the HSC III.

Best of luck Incontrol!

Good move Geoff. Don't mean to sound offensive (it's what he wanted), but i'm really glad you didn't "pull a Painuser". Keep doing what ya love!
SC:BW has a higher skill ceiling than SC2? SC 64 is where it's at brah.

As much as I love iNcontroL as a caster, I hate to see really talented players have their competitive career decline due to other endeavors. It makes me feel like they aren't getting the opportunity to shine because they need to do so many other things to support themselves which cuts into their practice time, and that's a shame.

I will definitely miss him as an NASL caster but overall I think I am happy about this because I can't wait to see what iNcontroL can do with sufficient practice time, considering how good he was in Brood War and how good he has been in SC2 with limited practice time.

As a side note, NASL needs to get a really good caster in order to maintain their viewership I think. iNcontroL is the kind of guy that draws attention to whatever he does and I feel like they need to bring in someone with personality who will draw the same attention. Anyways best of luck iNcontroL and NASL, personally I will continue to watch and support both of you =)

Good for his carreer, bad for the viewers. I've been laughing out loud so much following season one, because incontrol really hits the right spots when it comes to humor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really missed the days when InControl was not able to cast, so i really hope his appearances will be frequent. Can not wait to see who will be the replacement, i hope it will be someone great!

Recently, I had wondering about a lot of players who also work as casters. It seems too hard to juggle both and be successful at both. They each require a lot of work. I'm glad incontrol chose to focus on improving his game, though I enjoyed his casting a lot.

I wish Day9 would focus more on competitive play as well, but honestly I don't see that happening any time soon because he has had so much success doing what he has been doing.

But anyways, good luck to incontrol and nasl both! I hope they continue to do well and improve

I am definitely glad for Geoff but honestly he was a major factor in me watching NASL over other streams. I'm really curious to see who they replace him with, I have a feeling it will be hard to find someone that is anywhere near as articulate and funny as Geoff while still having great game knowledge.

I hope he has better luck with progaming than he has in the past. He and Idra were the best casters there, they were really intelligent and didn't 'dumb down' the game for the purpose of artificial excitement.

He will be missed.

I think its better this way. He isn't a bad caster, but i rather see him as a progamer. Good luck Geoff!

Damn this is sad news. I prefer him as a caster (only cause I'm a racist Zerg player)... He was the best caster on NASL for sure and his chemistry with Gretorp was awesome! Miss you Geoff!

As a fan of iNcontroL, I am delighted to hear this.
His individual performance have been suffering because casting NASL and going on shows take too much time away from him.
At the end, Geoff decided that before he is a caster or show host, he is a pro gamer, and I am excited that he made the right choice.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
