omg T_T. Why couldn't they have removed xelnaga?
Other then metal, i am happy with the removals, might have to un veto backwater to put 3 of the new crappier maps on there.
Wow, metal removal kinda sucks. Happy they removed the other maps tho, they definitely needed to be replaced.
Won't complain about metal removal because Scrap station, slag pits and delta quadrant really needed to go. That blizzard just removed one decent map is good enough. Metalopolis was getting boring anyway since they'd never remove close pos. All my 3 vetoed maps gone : )

Well, as a zerg player, I am happy to get 2 vetoes back from this change. But I agree with your sadness blade55555
Valikyr, I agree that Metal was a bit boring, but it was the only map without rocks hahah

Removed: Scrap Station (2) Slag Pits (4) Delta Quadrant (4) Metalopolis (4)
Carried over: Xel’Naga Caverns (2) Backwater Gulch (4) Shakuras Plateau (4) Tal'Darim Altar LE (4) The Shattered Temple (4) Typhon Peaks (4)
New: Nerazim Crypt (4) Searing Crater (4) Antiga Shipyard (4) Abyssal Caverns (4)
Wow, that's pretty sad. I'm glad they removed Slag and Delta, but Metal should stay there :{

I want to slap someone. Holy shit I'm so pissed right now.
I'm glad they kept tda, though
I have 3 of my vetos back now...
Sucks they kept Typhon Failure instead of Metal :\
Metalopolis gone, why !? Rather see typhon peaks or backwater gulch go
Edit : After thinking about it, it seems logic. Metalopolis has no rocks, it has to go in blizzard's eye's !
MLG metalopolis is my favourite map for practice, why couldn't blizzard just remove close positions?
I suspect they removed Metal because of the close spawn positions, and rather than making a new version of the map without the close spawn (all these versions of maps is getting confusing for everyone), they're replacing it with just a different map.
I expected metal to go. I mean its the oldest map in the pool, its been played wayyyyyyyyyyy too long. At this point its practically the python/fighting spirit of sc2.
Why on earth would they remove Meta? Surely they must know it's one of the most popular, or atleast, least disliked maps..

Me too. I really thought they might remove it based on all the people who complain about it. It is by far my favourite map in the pool
I love Metalopolis, it's so disappointing that they removed it over Backwater Gulch
Now that I have my 3 vetoes back they're most likely going straight on the most of the new maps.
Well, now I have two vetoes back. I'm kinda glad they removed metalopolis, since close ground positions was a pain in the ass. Now if they only removed close ground position for Shattered Temple.
Woot! Two of my vetoes back! Now I just have to figure out which of the new maps are the worst two.
Slag, Delta, and Scrap gone? Hell yes. I suck on Meta also so I'm fine with those 4. DQ has been in the map pool far, far too long. I get all of my vetoes back =D.
Not surprised at all that meta is removed. Close positions are hated, and blocking close positions is a bit of a hacky sort of fix. They don't seem to be fans of it.
Besides, they have map-by-map balance data at all levels of play. I'm sure there are lots of reasons for which are removed that we're not even aware of.
Metal out its been in the map pool since forever so it makes sense, BUT backwater stays in...
