Isn't Naniwa already in Korea? He said during TL attack that he was going on on July 15th... Not sure if his plans have changed or not but he should be there already... I think naniwa will be good and ready for GSTL. I fully expect him to get 1-2 kills in the first week.
So what's the deal with the PuMa situation now? Ideally I'd like to take him off my main and then add him to my anti-team.
I can't believe Wolf scored points for my anti-team rofl. Oh well, my NesTea experiment paid off. Only got 2 points all season. Now I can trade him for a much worse player.

TradeValue = 0 for all players with GamesLeft = 0. this might be the dumbest rule ever How?? The trade value isn't some number that compares how good a player is. It's a value that tries to capture a player's potential to earn fantasy points. If you have zero games left to play, you have zero potential to gain any more points, so you are worth nothing.
Although I agree that its an intellegent rule (that being said ffuuuu I have Oz still on my team) but previously FXO (team) was worth negative points and I couldn't trade them away. Now, the only week they secured a positive amount of points, I'm FORCED to keep them because they're done. Also shouldn't it be technically possible that if a team gets enough losses (I think slayers and fou have a few) that they would be worth negative points as well and have the ability to do the FXO --> x trade.
Also random question to who ever might know, if Oz/qxc/whoever else is staying in Korea plays for fou do the people who have them on their team get points?

But you had to have realized there was a good chance FXO goes into the negatives. They started off worth 0 points.. so if they just lost by 4-1 or 4-0 they would go into the negatives. It was obvious from the get go that this was a very real possibility. That's the price you pay for picking a team that had 0 trade value to begin with.
Although I do wonder how the trade situation is going to work for FXO now. Is there trade value now 0 because they have 0 games left? If that's the case... if another team drops below 0, can you make a trade? IMO FXO should be untradeable now... but that might not be how this situation works out.

I don't know what the system does but you should be able to trade 0 for negative after 0 games left. Because the trade value is a measure for potential points. Potential no points is higher than potential negative points, you can always trade high to low.

Naniwa is gonna be at MLG next weekend, so I don't think so. Doubt they'd fly him back and forth so quickly
|
I know... I found that odd too.. but he specifically said july 15th he's heading over (and I'm sure he realized MLG was 2 weeks after...)
Gah I really hope that didn't change. Ah you're probably right though. If he was in korea I'm sure we would have heard some news or seen him watching the GSL or something.
|
I gained a lot of points this week. Hmm about Naniwa, who should i trade him off my antiteam for?
|
ROFL ... I would be tied for 90th place right now if I didn't trade Naniwa of my anti team to early -.-
I was afraid of being stuck with having to trade him for someone REALLY strong so I made the decision when it was between TOP and Nada. I went against my gut and though Nada would play less than TOP and it really bit me in the ass -.-
I ended up not being able to trade for Naniwa anyway. Only person with enough points is DRG and I am not trading him for Naniwa. O well
Thinking of trading SLAYERS for IM right now though since I think they will only go up in value from this point on.

Why trading is closed these three days??? When will be open? I want to take QXC !!!!
|
Yeah, shouldn't trading be open? Aslo, what's the status of FXO replacing fOu? Will any of the foreign players be staying/able to play?
|
Maybe they're trying to decide what to do about the PuMa situation?
Either way, not a big deal. There is no GSTL this week so we have quite a bit of time before they need to turn it back on.

Rosters gets updated after week five. I imagine they'd want to see the roster updates and make those changes before trades open again.
|
Thanks mrbamboo. I didn't even realize there was a break this week. I forgot about up/downs, and I didn't even know about redoing the rosters (which will obviously change everything).

Polt is worst points spent ever Cant believe he never gets to play...

I wonder how worth it is it to get Nestea or Losira. code S finals will be over before the next GSTL round, so there's no conflict of them practicing for other tournaments. After that embarrassing loss to qxc would IM bring out the big guns to make sure they get to the play offs?
|
lol, forgot that the GSTL had a break this week, was getting freaked out that it wasn't open haha. So mad at the IM coach right now, had a chance to get me 8 points from an all kill, but he gives me a stupid 0-4 -_- hope he learns..... Tradewise, I am considering:
MMA -> Fenix or aLive MMA has barely been played and the only time he did, he lost. Fenix is on a small roster, so he's all but guranteed to play every week for F. United. aLive just because I'm looking for change lol. + Show Spoiler +but again, SlayerS is probably going to be serious about getting to the playoffs, so they might bring out their ace more often.
Tassadar -> SocceR Trade for SocceR just because he has more games to play and has a pretty good chance of getting played, thats all.
BBoongBBoong -> Nestea This guy is my only zerg on my team, so I have to trade for another zerg. Kinda reluctant though to trade him because he's been doing so well, but IM's coach should be pulling out the big guns now after that FXO humiliation right? + Show Spoiler +or he decides he's "to cool for school" and continues to play nobodies -_-
Byun -> Nestea same reasoning as BBoongBBoong except I don't lose as much in trade value.
GuMiHo -> LosirA virtually same reasoning except LosirA might play more, but GuMiHo is fOu's second best player.
Byun -> Happy just traded Happy away thank god, but he'll get played more maybe? Younghwa is another option I guess.
also have sC, but idk who to trade him for
Only have two trades to make, so thoughts??
advice from people in the top 20 would be a nice benefit :D

MMA -> Fenix/Alive Fenix is a tough call, while he will definitely see more play, how many games can he take off koreans? Alive and MMA have the same number of matches left. With PuMa gone it's only Alive and Clide left as terrans. Not a bad choice. It's hard to say if MMA's slump is over, I'd personally pick Alive over MMA. There are a number of good SlayerS terrans that if MMA is still slumping he just won't get played.
Tassadar -> Soccer this is a trade that I'm considering myself. Soccer didn't impressive me in his shot at code A. But neither did sculp or seal impress me when they first startered for NSH but then they go dominate some Squirtle/July/Bomber this week. Despite placing 2nd in code A Tassadar's play never really impressed me. Gambling on Soccer isn't a bad idea.
BboongBboong -> Nestea BboongBboong is the only player on prime who has shown any results this gstl. Might be worth keeping. Prime has 3 rounds while IM only has 2 left. Nestea might get used as ace for IM now that they are serious, but it's really hard to guess what the IM coach is gonna do. Honestly IM as a team has so many GSL championships and high placings and winning and placing 2nd in the past GSTLs they might just not care about winning this GSTL so much. It could just be they've decided to use this as opportunities for their lesser players to get stage experience. They still have a 2-1 record so making play offs isn't that difficult as long they use Happy/Yoda/YoungHwa/Losira some more. I"d keep BboongBboong.
Byun -> Nestea Byun + Puzzle anchors ZENEX if they want to make play offs. I'd keep Byun for the same reason above.
GuMiho -> Losira This is a tough one. They both have 2 matches left. I'd say they have nearly identical point earning potential. Losira should see more play the next 2 series. GuMiho will definitely need to help carry fOu to play offs. IMO GuMiho has been more solid than sC at this moment. This is a coin flip trade. Personal preference.
Byun -> Happy Byun is more likey to see play. I'd keep Byun for this one.
Trading sC? I don't know. Keep, or pick up seal or sculp

Word of warning: you should plan ahead before making any trades.
For example, someone mentioned that Byun may be getting invited to IEM Cologne. If he does he will miss ZeNEX's last game. MKP could also miss a week. Gotta check these things out well in advance.

For the Fantasy Report, I meant to write
No team has negative team scores in the entire league!

Mmm. I hope one of Thorzain/Naniwa doesn't get to play or win his match next round. He'll drop to 12-15 range depending on if F.United wins and I can trade sage for him :D. Then he'll get me many more points when he gets settled in to korean environment the weeks later!
Most likely scenario I'm thinking for now is
before round 6 Tassadar -> Soccer FXO Korea -> F. United
before round 7 Sage -> Naniwa/Thorzain (hopefully one of them only make 0-1 point so I can make this trade, fairly likely I think) Happy -> Seal
Don't see much more trading after that really. Every one pretty muchhas only 2 matches and I already have good picks in Puzzle/GuMiho/Younghwa/Jjakji who are probably some of the best choices for each of their teams already.
Subject to change when updated roster and starters announced though. I might grab leenock depending on how well he does tonight in the Up/Down. Shuffling around and get Leenock + Losira instead of Younghwa/Gumiho maybe? Ride the current zerg dominance maybe with DRG/Losira/Seal/Leenock on my roster haha.
