Kicked the ass and raped a zerg player in the middle of switching races from protoss. He was so bad that I literally walked into his base and killed him with mm. Simple, stupid easy. I expect to be demoted for terrible play or bonus pool because I myself am switching to zerg. My opponent was favored so it wasn't a huge surprise. Also, I had only started playing sc2 competitively in 1v1 a few weeks before hand, and I knew I was at least silver level so I just kept on pushing. It wasn't a huge surprise.

I started off the game being placed into plat and then eventually worked my way into Diamond. When Masters League first rolled out I was so disappointed that I wasn't placed in there that I played 53 games straight over the course of 2 days until I got promoted into Masters. I have never left since.

My friend and I were Silver in 2v2s. First game on Tuesday, we get High Orbit with 2 Protoss opponents. I go for one-base broodlords, while he banshee harasses and moves out with 2 thors to their back rocks. One of the Toss players went mass phoenix, and by mass I mean 8. The other had a bunch of stalkers and zealots, but didn't know how to blink that well. We ended up beating both of them, even though the guy with stalks/lots had more supply than both of us combined. Got the gold promotion after that.

Mine isn't that cool really..

Started playing in beta, got placed in copper and was awful at the game... Played for abit, got better than others in that league and once some reset happened, i got placed in Diamond, which was highest then (or if it was platinum i got placed in that).

When retail came, i did my 5 placements and got placed in higest (was diamond i think?), and played for a while until i took a 6 month break. After the break i went in, shaky as hell, managed to win my first game (was really surprised), and got promoted to masters instantly (even more surprised). So my promotion story is really boring, only got promoted once, and that was after 1 game and a 6 month break.

Now if i could start playing more than 3-4 games a day and get better, and get promoted into GM, that'd be something to be really happy about!!

Actually, today I got placed into gold after like 2-3 weeks in silver. I was beating everyone in silver and today, the first game I played, the guy I was playing against 10 pooled and I was able to hold it off. After I held it, I 4gated and he had like no units. Very boring way to get promoted

In season 1, when I was working from gold to platinum and got promoted, this was my face.

Though shortly after when I got into diamond, I was dancing with joy.

Season 1-played my placement matches and won 1/5
Was in bronze league for about 2 months
Practiced a bit to get use to the mechanics of the game
Made a strong build and went with it every game
And started winning with it
Got promoted to Silver
And skipped Gold league
was placed platinum as my mile stone

Season 2-Currently Diamond Rank

Was placed into diamond start of this season (around 3rd week playing). A bit over a week, I was promoted to master by beating a t with a baneling bust on metalopolis. He rage quit and my 750pts turned into 250 (went about 60-30 in diamond). Now I'm playing on my second account, it's diamond atm after 2 days of laddering. Going to promote very soon wonder which game it could be.

I was bronze for the longest time until i went on a 15+ win streak vs all high gold/high plat players. My last bronze match was against a 6pool, which is too easy to hold off at this point in the game. I won, skipped silver and got directly promoted to gold.

Started in bronze at release, didn't play for a few months. Started playing casually (once or twice every two weeks) in January and am now in diamond.

Its so rewarding even if i'm still a nub going from bronze to silver is a big confidence booster! So much fun!!

and i got the promotion thing. i thanked the guy for giving me a free promotion(apparently he was trying to lower his MMR, when i played him and looked at his profile, he was a low diamond, 3 hrs later he was in silver league o.o)

Played in the beta. Right at the end of it I "made" diamond (it was right after a ladder reset and I won all my placements). I thought I was so good going into the start of the game -- that I had all this experience -- but, when I played my placements I went 2-3 and was placed in bronze. The pain of getting bronze was only second to the mocking that i suffered from my friends

. . . But I worked my way up to Gold, and now that schools done I'm almost into Plat! Nothing feels better than working your way up from the bottom.

Cant really remember specific games of getting promoted but after I bought sc2 I was placed into bronze and slowly worked up to low-mid diamond. Then once masters came out got promoted to that shortly after.

I wish i was bronze, but i win too much. After getting to masters i was like, whatever. Switched to toss, then random and tanked like 60 games during that time. lost about 50 times and won less then 10. got demoted to diamond in season 2. now i switched back to zerg since random is boring. and i cant get back into masters due to the infestor change. I got in masters winning 11 ZvZ's against 3300+ zergs in arow. But now my strat/build in ZvZ got removed due to infestor change. I went for quick muta on 2 base to force my opponent, and hoped he would overreact. Get roach hydra and tech to broodlord at that point on 3 base. I won so much cause so many zergs overeacted to muta. doesnt work now since everyone rushes to infestor in ZvZ and if i go muta they will attack and i wont have enough roachs to survive fungals.

When I just got the game I was first placed in platinum by 8 pooling all my placement matches. I continued to 8 pool my way through platinum until i learned how to play the game. I have worked my way to masters ever since! I was such a scrub...

placed in silver, got to plat a month later. season 2 came round lost my placement match and got put in diamond. guess my mmr was pretty high
