you end up being promoted.. and you notice more often people who are promoted/occurences of promotion. but its really just the same rate of promotion (think about this, why would it change for particular days? makes no sense). just like if you get your license and drive with learner plates, you suddenly see everyone with learner plates, notice them more often etc etc. | ||

Silver and gold both gained a significant amount of people. Platinum gained a little, but this could be the normal gain and not due to any Blizzard shenanigans. Diamond went up a touch. Masters didn't move. | ||

I got promoted from Diamond to Masters on my smurf in about 2 hours...so I doubt it. | ||

I'm not saying I have a secret spy camera in Blizzard's conference rooms, but I'm not not saying that either :O Hopefully they'll announce something so that it's more official and clues people in to what exactly is happening (I can understand if they don't say that they shifted the league boundaries [esp for Bronze] though). | ||

The design was probably to have a 20%/20%/etc between leagues, but they didn't realized that the system would tend to do this and that and bronze would end up with way more than intended, and now they just "fixed" it so bronze could finally be no more than 20% of active population? Just speculation though! | ||

 some people just got that timing down. I don't like to chronoboost warpgate and I find 99% of everyone else drops 3 chrono's on it which makes me sadface as I go for probes hoping that it finishes intime and I can hold ramp with FF | ||

Just speculation though! If I understood correctly, the plan was indeed to distribute leagues as 2/18/20/20/20/20 (Masters/Diamond/Plat/etc.etc.etc). Bronze was way over-saturated, according to SC2ranks, though I don't know how much Blizzard's "Active" data differed. | ||
