GSL would be superior in every way. Live games in booths with better casters, but same players. NASL with mostly NA players would help build the NA scene the way the BW leagues helped build the KR scene. NASL needs to be NA centric to give western esports the chance to catch up to the KR scene. NASL will not survive if it is GSL 2.0 or GSL lite

If there's such a big tournament in north america, im sure it will grow no matter whos in it. It will be easier to go to for the western world since everyone speaks english. this will help motivate us to get better and become great and big as korea. even if there are koreans players winning it. the problem with that argument is your assuming that TL, and thus the poll, represents the casual viewership.

Really, if I were a casual, I would abandon NASL as soon as I found out it sucked in comparison to the GSL.

Faces are shown like 15 seconds at best during a game. If you're talking interviews, people aren't going to decide to watch Starcraft because IdrA called someone terrible at the game.

I didn't want to smash your cute little bullshit rhetorical "gotcha" into the ground, but you've backed me into a corner. In the first instance, I was pointing out that although Team Liquid, a website historically strongly in tune with the Korean scene, may want bunches of Koreans in the NASL, that may not be true for more general audiences. As I said earlier in the thread, I was merely encouraging further discussion; someone else wanted to eliminate the possibility of even listening to Peas' posts, given the overwhelming opposition on TL, but I thought that wasn't the best thing to do. In the second instance, I was pointing out that Team Liquid enjoys watching both the GSL and MLG. I fail to see how these two pieces of information contradict each other.

I really think the poll should be removed. It's actually somewhat misleading and doesn't really address pokebunny's comment. I think there are quite a few people who agree with pokebunny's sentiment that he'd rather watch NA players, but not with his reasoning and criticism of the Startale players, which (IMO) was incredibly prejudiced.

GSL is for all the top koreans, Invite a select few to raise the skill cap of the NASL while advancing esports outside of korea by actually having NA/EU players playing, and being able to show off their skill. So you're saying that Korean players are incapable of contributing to Western E-sports?

Use this chance to improve the foreign scene's skill level. Use it as motivation to become better. If we can not become just as good as the Koreans we will never have an SC2 scene like that in Korea.

Mondragon could surprise us and be good at SC2, despite laying low all this time. Also a lot of the Europeans are really talented like White-Ra, he always does pretty well despite being married.

Honestly, if the NASL is "mostly Korean players" or has "zero Korean players" I will be very disappointed. I want to see some of the great players from all regions. That's why I'm so excited about the NASL. The GSL feels like its Korea and Jinro/Idra/Huk, which doesn't represent the other great players from other regions. But that's only because GSL is a local event. NASL will be online, except for the final, which is why they can showcase great players from all regions.

Now, very carefully, using more than one line (this is important), explain how bLuR's post implies that Korean players are incapable of contributing to Western eSports.
