I'm all for these fungal changes as long as the missile stays in. I find it hilarious that there's now an added skill component of "outclassing" the army ball in order to get the best fungal missile strike.

You are missing the point than. Fg mains purpose was not to inflict damage. It was not to act like plague or a zerg version of storm. It was a mechanism that was able to stop forces from moving. It was a great mixture to use with banelings and such, as well as prevent certain drops etc. etc. But with this patch, Blizzard decided to move the ability away from its primary use of stunning and move toward a damage aoe. Which in all honesty, is still quite weak and easily healed through.

EMP is insta-cast, so they could make a video and it would look less disheartening than that one.

dont have to be a genius to realize that its a nerf. Anything that gives your opponents a chance to skill-dodge(opposite of skill-shot right?) to minimize losses is a major nerf unless its accompanied by an equally effective buff. Which it wasnt.

What a joke. I doubt we'll ever see zergs waste gas on infestors after this goes live. Tons of gas for the "chance" to fungal units, relying completely on the opposing player's lack of micro.

Apparently Blizzard thinks that the entire zerg army's chance of success should be based off of the other players mistakes, or lack of mistakes. Absolutely ridiculous.

Blizzard is well on their way to nerfing this game into a 1-strategy-per-race borefest. They are going to kill SC2 as a spectator sport.


I think it adds a nice dynamic. This video is a bad example for the effectiveness of the new fungal. The guy went pure infestor of course he's going to get rolled. If there were any lings it would have been a different story

Exactly. But its obvious that Blizzard wants the Terran bio-ball to be viable against every build of every race.

Infestors counter bioballs, and HT's counter bioballs. Now that these are getting nerfed, Terran can literally stay on tier-1 all game every game and not get punished for it. I am just so sad for the future of this game. Someone please give Blizzard the memo that terran is doing fine, they seem to not understand the state of the game.

Keep in mind that neither the ghost nor infestor can combine to create a very beefy melee unit that does extra damage to bio. You neglected to put that in your spreadsheet.


what has the archon to do with it? You have to pay for 2 HT to get a new unit. That dosn´t affect the comparison of ghost, infestor and HT at all. Sure, if your lucky, your HT survive after they stormed and if they still survive the morphing phase, your gonna have a little tank (that´s still gonna get slowed by marauder), BUT when a ghost runs out of energie, it still can do damage, unlike infestor or HT.

For the record I am a terran user and I would like to see EMP being cast as a missle(kind of mixed feelings about an emp upgrade as well) and an actual upgrade for the transport function for the medivac.
Don't mind the longer stim timing as that upgrade is so powerful in itself.
Also like the faster BC buff but probably won't get used much still in 1v1.

It's pretty frustrating how people just REFUSE to consider both sides of an argument. Why do people still say things like "archons are useless after one EMP"? Why do people completely reject the fact that EMP affects only shields as a valid point (when it is clearly huge that you can only take down 30-40% of a units health which recharges)? Why does any change to a unit which involves a nerf, even if there are corresponding significant buffs, mean the unit is now "useless" (infestor)?

Maybe the changes aren't perfect, but its tiring to only listen to what can only be considered overreaction

The worst thing about these changes is that even if some of them don't come through (like the fungal missile speed thing) there won't be any more changes that the game actually needs for upwards of a couple of months given previous history. Yes there needs to be time to see effects of patches, no that doesn't validate every decision they make as if it's a stroke of genius because someone figures something out that makes it worthwhile, because you can bet that blizzard's internal testing team won't have given previous results and suggested changes.

And in ZvZ it owns up roaches...


It will kill marines faster, as it will deal the same amount of damage in half the time. Meaning you can use it twice as often on the same units in a given amount of time, resulting in double the damage.

Not to mention it now does more dps than a medivac heals per second.

Medivac HPS= 12.5

against armored targets it does more dps but against rines it doesn't.
