ETA: Oh not everyone? Screenshot of my Chrome: ![]() ETA2: I don't know what happened but after I refreshed like 5 times it is now displaying properly. Strange because before that I had closed down Chrome and reopened it completely and it still showed strange like the screenshot, but now it's totally fine. *shrug*

Advantages+ Show Spoiler + Advantages - Many Matches Disadvantages - Incentives for players to fold. - Top & Bottom players plays equal number of matches. - Large Groups -> outcome of some games doesn't matter to players or viewers. Number of Matches = up to 255 (Winner plays up to 13 Matches) Abbreviations G = Groups P = Players M = Matches played (sometimes Matches played "per group") 1st Group Stage 5G of 10P: 4G*45M=225M (-> -> 1st+2nd->Playoffs, 11-30->Second Chance, 31-34->Back Next Season, 35-50->Out) Second Chance (Ranked 11-30) 5G of 4P: 5G *3M = 15M (1st->Playoffs, 2-4th->Back Next Season) Open Tournament: Winner ->Playoffs Playoffs 16P playoffs (15M)= 15M My question is if you are going to rework the competition format for next season? If so, are you willing to listen to my suggestions? So, I've analyzed your current tournament format and found some weaknesses and room for improvement. One weakness is that your current system will produce a lot of matches were neither players nor viewers has very much at stake. Black Dragon League is a tournament that suffers from this exact problem. The second weakness is that your current system fields weaker and better players almost as much. Viewers generally prefer better games. As such you'd want to maximize matches between the best of the best. I'll give you one thing: The system you are using now is really good in maximizing number of games played. Adhering to some simple principles I've created a few examples of alternative formats while trying to stay true to your original concept. The principles I'm using is: - Allow only groups of 3 or 4 to ensure that each player carries a stake in each match. - Eliminate losers players quickly to make room for games between good players. - Pair off good players early to determine their seeding and increase viewership. Examples of altarnative formats Possibility 1 - 64 Players "Simple Format" Advantages+ Show Spoiler + Disadvantages - Many Matches. - All games matter to each player. - Better seeding automatically gained during tournament. - Small Groups -> Outcome of each game matters to each player. Disadvantages - More players. - No spot for "Open Tournament" Winner. - Top & Bottom players plays equal number of matches. Number of Matches = up to 255 (Winner plays up to 12 Matches) Abbreviations G = Groups P = Players M = Matches played (sometimes Matches played "per group") 1st Group Stage (64P) 16G of 4P: 16G*6M = 96M (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th*) 2nd Group stage (64P, One 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th* in each group) 16G of 4P: 16G*6M = 96M (1st+2nd+3rd->CB, 4th->Out) 3rd Group stage (48P. Possibility 2 - 64 players Better "Complex Format" Advantages+ Show Spoiler + Advantages - Many Matches. - Spot for "Open Tournament" Winner. - More matches played by better players. - Better seeding automatically gained during tournament. - Small Groups -> Outcome of each game matters to each player. Number of Matches = up to 198 (Winner plays up to 15 Matches) Abbreviations G = Groups P = Players M = Matches played (sometimes Matches played "per group") T = Top "player pool" C = Centre "player pool" (CB= Centre-Bottom "player pool") B = Bottom "player pool" Format of Possibility 2b 1st Group stage (48Players) 16G of 3P: 16G*3M = 48Matches -> (1st+2nd+3rd -> seeded into 2nd Group Stage) 2nd Group stage (48P. I've tried to stay close to the current format in features such as number of players and matches played. The above examples could easily be reworked to shave off up to a 100 matches.

Every person in the group plays every other person in the group for a total of 9 matches for each person. We don't know the full groups yet, each announcement is adding to the groups of 10.

We don't know the full groups yet, each announcement is adding to the groups of 10. you misunderstood my question. once the 5 groups of 10 are over the top 2 from each group move on to the 16 man tourny (10 slots full). Then the next 20 players from the original divisions based on win/loss are split into 5 groups of 4. The top player from each of those groups (5 more players) make it into the 16 man tourny (15 slots full). I want to know how that 2nd group stage works.
