It's not like they're going to choose the player with mose votes or whatever, they're just asking for some feedback before they make their [own] decision. I hardly think that's a bad idea. So they are asking our opinions so they can not use our opinions? It doesn't matter if they take the people with the most votes here or not, if a bunch of goobers typing out names on a forum factors into their decision in the slightest it's a dumb idea. Let's say they don't follow tournaments outside of Korea all that well. In order to get a better grasp, they ask a community what players they like/think are the best (popular players are good to gain popularity for a tournament as well). They get a list of x names and then check out their vods/replays to determine what players are best suited to be invited. Doesn't seem like a terrible idea to me. You're already excusing the fact that popular players are going to be looked at over good players. It probably sounds like a pretty bad idea to any players who actually finish high in tournaments but don't get half the recognition of those who haven't even come close to winning anything.
I like the idea of seeds for foreigners, I just wish that they'd go to the best foreign players or those that can be reasonably argued to be top 4 foreigners who don't have code A

It would rather play a part if there are two similarly skilled players, the more popular player would get the spot. Like I said, this is probably more to get a basic list of top foreigners, while getting some community influense than just choosing the players with most votes (as opposed to FOMOS player awards T_T). Again, I don't see how this is a terrible idea.

Haypro and Huk. I want to see them so badly.

I think it's awesome GOM keeps trying to keep a finger on the pulse of the community. They're obviously still experimenting with their format and with no real top player rankings established yet (not really, we're on our way with good tournaments and such but) it only seems logical to at least sollicit some community feedback on what they'd like to see. It's more than Blizzard did.
Ignoring the TL guys (and SeleCT and Sen, SEEEENN!!) already there and not mentioning EG because I hope they'll be moving there on their own around then, I'd love to see how a Dimaga, White-Ra and QXC do. If they're not going I'll throw in Fenix, BratOK and Socke, just because I love seeing them play.
And secretly we all hope for the return of TLO of course, one day.

QXC, Huk, INcontrol and Select

thanks for the believers in me but if i were to go to korea id would want to fight my way to class A rather than getting invited
when it actually comes to anyone who desrves it when it comes to skill, attitude towards the game, mindset manners and dedication i dont think anyone in the foreigner scene sticks out that much
some players has some qualities while lack in the others so it all just goes down to what the community as a whole thinks which attributes gives the best potential to succeed in korea
my personal advise would be to not think whos good at the moment or who does some nifty strategies. id value alot higher of a person who can play all day long without getting frustrated keeps his head up high and is very skilled at analyzing the game to improve at a very fast rate. after all if you think about it, the skill difference between players of foreigners might seem big to us but if u compare them to the top players of korea for example i think they would look just about the same class of players. value how he can become, not how good he is

Kind of impossible to pick only 4, but if 2 from EU and 2 from NA:
socke, naama, qxc, fenix
|
HuK indeed, BratOK, EmpireKas, and mouzHasu(just coz i like his style so much)
|
well, only players that i can think of (and are not in korea already) is ROOTqxc and dimaga, and they both stated that that is not an option for them now.
eg is about to start thei own house in korea, right?
so invite for incontrol or machine would be reasonable.

In terms of who are worthy and capable of being successful in Korea, I would have to go with these four players
Huk- He's been training for a couple of months in Korea. This already gives him an inherent advantage of being able to play against Korean style starcraft. Plus, he has won a major tournament, which is just icing on the cake.
Haypro- He's in the same boat as Huk. I've seen him play in recent smaller tournaments and he has the necessary skills and experience to be successful. He's already in Korea, so he doesn't have to adjust to the transition.
Select- He also has the necessary experience by practicing in Korea. His tournament appearances have been impressive, too.
KiwiKaki- He has the craftiness, moxie, and experience to be successful in Korea. After all you need a little bit of cheese and a twist in one's play. Plus, he's been in Korea, so he's already exposed to the environment.

Kiwikaki, HuK, demuslim, mana, dimaga, bratok
i'd like to see tyler & white-ra. But they will surely not go

HuK, Mana, iNcontrol and Artosis

I think the best way would to put together a small invitational tournament together on the NA and EU servers. Even go out and contract someone like DJWheat / Day9 to do it so you guys can continue to focus on things at the GSL. That way there is a bit more validity in picking these players, rather then people just picking their favorites. But by inviting these 4 players it seems much more of a popularity grab then to get more competition. In Korea they are probably seeing their viewership slowly coming to a peak, where as in the NA and EU the potential hasn't even been touched. By getting in a few big name foreigners it will only increase the viewership exponentially.
As far as the people I would like to see compete in Code A: KiwiKaki, qxc, Morrow, and Fenix. All of which are extremely solid and bring their own unique play styles to the table. I would love to see White-ra go, but that seems like it would not happen.

Protoss: Huk, Socke, Mana Terran: Naama, DeMuslim, BratOK, Fenix, Strelok, Sjow Zerg: Dimaga, Haypro, Sen
I would love to see any of those players getting a chance in the GSL.

Protoss: Huk, Kiwikaki (white-ra & Tyler maybe?) Terran: Fenix, Select Zerg: Haypro, Dimaga
Take your pick! ^_^
