BratOK, EmpireKas, Sjow, DeMuslim in my opinion are most deserving to be in GSL. But I'm not sure that any of them want to go to Korea for playing in Code A, though :p

EmpireKas- one of the rising players in the eu-scene. He has won a lot of smaller cups and is really commited and is capable of playing a lot on a consistent basis (which is important if you want to make it in KR).
Socke- an excellent tourney player. Has proven himself on various lans and plays incredibly entertaining.
Tarson- another very underrated, yet succesful and solid player

Huk, Incontrol, Tyler, and Select. Maybe Whitera also, and I can't say much for Zerg unfortunately =p so I might be missing some people who deserve to be in it

Your discussion will provide valuable feedback for us and help to make more interesting GSL.

WHERE does it say that this thread was somehow going to be the end all of who got invited? They are simply asking to generate some names/conversation. I think some people in this thread have overestimated the amount of influence they have on the SC2 world.

If they are going to fly people over and put them in a house and pay their way I'm sure they'll do their homework and aren't just planning on sifting through a TL thread. A single tournament isn't a good idea either, it should be about a body of work and a level of commitment to the game, not just one or two tournament wins.

What was the purpose of this thread? Just to generate some publicity, some hype, and get people talking some. I'm sure they'll look at the names that keep popping up because it is a good point of reference to see who the community wants to see play in Korea.

You are crazy to think that popularity isn't and shouldn't play some role. Inviting foreign players in the first place is really about generating a wider viewing audience, if the players can be competitive great, but if they aren't(and I think any foreign players will struggle as most have) they want it to drive publicity.

Take the top 10-20 most mentioned names in this thread, and do a round robin. Top4 go.

The four players I would invite if I had the choice would be:

Liquid'HuK (P)
ROOTKiwiKaki (P)
Sjow or Select (both T) - I can't decide who I like better between the two, but only of them.
Liquid'Haypro or ROOT.Catz (Z)

Are all good choices. I tried to spread the races out, but I couldn't think of many Z players that I like who would be willing to go to Korea (who aren't already there).

The Innocent shall suffer... big time.

Huk, Haypro because they showed great things but had not the luck to be there for 3 GSL.

InControl because he is awesome

And Adelscott of course.

I honestly believe Qxc, if he ever gets to go over and be in the type of training environment koreans practice in, would be the greatest player in the world.

His harass play and game sense is just so so far above any other player around right now. Watching him play actually blows my mind and I usually find TvX a boring matchup to spec. If he got the proper training environment to work on his macro game and generally improve as a player he would dominate and I actually believe he will in the future if he has the willpower and actually wants to do it (I believe he's at uni right now? So obviously couldn't go to korea).
