blizzard you have got to be kidding me. i like how they make it seem it was a bug
this is actually retarded and seriously effects zerg in the stupidest way imaginable. christ at least in brood war 1 hotkey press while selecting 12 larvae made them all morph, now it's actually much worse than that, making mass ling is going to be ridiculous hilariously bad change Don't worry, Terran's "larva" got "fixed" too. You can't spam marines. I actually had the timing down pretty good to get one marine/two marine in every barracks just by holding the key down. Oh well, time to go back to the old ways.
Did they also "fix" warp gates?

I would assume so, I've played within the last week and have played since launch. Unless there's another requirement. (I'm able to log in fine on the normal realms however)
I do use an authenticator, if that makes a difference.

You need to have NA account befor 11 Nov if im not wrong. Maybe your account is newer than that?

Corruptors are the answer to Phoenixes. If you want to establish air dominance and prepare for the inevitable switch to to Colossus.
I just played a game on the PTR. PvZ, (I was Z) it was really cool, got into the really late game (Shakuras). Corruptors are going to be very key since they are excellent against both Phoenix and Colossus, and can be morphed into Broodlords later.

Can anyone come up with a strong reason to why Blizzard thought it would be necessary to make such a nerf? I mean, this isn't a nerf of its damage, nor its duration. This is a direct nerf to the mechanic itself. And I am honestly at a complete lost to why it was done.
I cannot imagine at the developer meeting, what exactly was brought up to bring about such a nerf. This makes medivacs even stronger, making MM itself stronger, and making air harassment even more problematic (since now, if no overseer, no chance of stopping cloaked banshees).
One main counter to drops in Sc:Bw were the scourge, which Blizzard removed. So in its place, we now use Fg (stop it from even moving). But now, Blizzard removed yet another means of Zerg prevention of drops. So now it really is a matter of how to react to your base being destroyed, and not how to prevent it. The answer is faster hydra tech. In all matchups because of the buff to all air units, hydras just became infinitely more important. Overlord spotting is more important now too. I am a little worried about tvz mid game though, the mmm ball is pretty scary, but at least with infestors and banelings you can still kill everything.
So let me get this straight, Blizzard presumably nerfed a unit to make a fairly annoying, slowly, and to some degree, inferior unit to its predecessor even more important. All the while, they made no changes to the actual unit wanting to be used more often.

I just can't believe they nerfed FG. what a joke. so many times that FG on air units is the only option to save the zerg.

I think the stalemate timer could get very interesting.

I expect more ZvZ mutalisk play now.

You already have to click for every unit from warp gates :S

Actually I never noticed that Terran can hold down 1 hotkey to spam unit. I was always like tap tap tap tap. O_O Yeah, it's a bit annoying late game or when you are managing a lot of rax, but it's not too bad. It hurt you more than anything since it encouraged queuing, but like I said, I had the timing down to only build the right amount. More button pushing I guess. I do feel bad for zerg though, there is no queuing, they were buying units en masse with money on hand. Poor zerg. Yeah, for Terran its ok. But for Zerg this change is bad. Blizzard really wants Zerg players to go on a riot now lol

The fungal change seems extremely retarded to me for ZvZ.. I can somewhat understand ZvP, but now hydra's are a must use unit.

No.. you don't. Edit: Oh wait, click. Yes click, but you can hold down the button - a bug they've apparently "fixed" for T and Z.

Corrupters deal quite well with both phoenix and colossus. I don't see the problem. Yes. Because unlike most hard counters which you can get 2-4 of and be set vs a decent amount of them you need at least 10 corruptors to deal with ~2 collosus. And because any Protoss with a brain will sit there and try to fight your corruptors with his pheonix? They are so much faster than them it's not even an issue for Protoss.

I have played the ptr for my placement matches, the key thing change of having to press a key 100 times to make units, its killing me, its unplayable...

Bought it day of release. Activated ever since. It's also a North American copy. It's definitely a problem on Blizzard's end.

I play zerg (2100 diamond if someone from Blizzard is reading this) so only really two balance changes stand out - (i) fungal growth and (ii) hotkey use on larvae, but in general I think that SC2 in its current state is very balanced and am very much against Blizzard patching the game so quickly. The only thing that Blizzard needed to patch from a balance point of view was better, fairer, more competitive maps.
Regarding the two balance changes that I'm against: (i) Something that no one mentioned from the 20 pages that I read was that fungal growth is perhaps the best ability in SC2 from a spectators and players point of view. It is a super fun ability and is amazing from a spectators point of view when a good one lands on a bunch of units e.g. mutalisks or phoenixes (similar to a 'here come the speed banes!!' moment). It is completely nonsensical to remove a great moment from the game, especially in its current balanced state.
(ii) Having hotkeys not morph larvae will directly cause medical problems for a ridiculous amount of players and I agree with many who have voiced there concerns here.

I think it should be like this because you have to move your screen to a pylon unlike the other races who can look at whatever and make units.
