Not to be one to make excuses and obviously overall Korean players are better than Foreign players, but I think the IEM is a misleading example. QXC went 0-5 and didnt even play like we know he can. I heard Day9 say he started school and wasnt playing much/any SC2 at the moment. The European players all qualified 5 months ago and the game has moved on a lot since then. Suggesting the same players who were great 5 months ago will be great now seems unlikely. Some people said Idra was jet lagged and even if he wasnt he's moving house and having a huge change in his life. Once he's settled I think his mind will be in a much sounder place to play. I know it's poor form to make excuses and cling onto hope, but I imagine the IEM dominance by those particular players isnt indicative of the class divide between Foreigners and Koreans. Koreans are still better, but I don't think Ace on his best day is better than any of the top 20 foreigners on their best day. | ||
