if he falls for it, then u get that extra feeling awesome in addition to winning the game. While the other guy feels like an idiot for falling for his own trick

If you type gg back to someone that ggs, and they leave the game too quickly, your "g" is a hotkey for Return to Game (for the score screen that comes up). Which takes you right back to the game. I have this happen to me frequently. What this trick does is attempt to mimic this occurence so the winner will mistakenly leave. Thanks for clearing this up. The commentator on the YouTube video does an awful job of explaining this point, which is pretty crucial to understand why someone could possibly fall for this.

Kepsa rules specifically state that a GG is the end of the match, no matter what. And I imagine in any tournament the GG would be taken as surrender.

I'm pretty sure I said exactly this in my OP... and I'm 100% sure I explained the exact same thing in the video. People like you piss me off.

not to mention, you have to finish the rest of the surender, f10, then click on surrender. Dunno, just doesnt resemble my winning ceremony in the least.

TBH, I didn't read most of the OP, and I should have. But when you explained it in the video (and I did hear you throughout your explanation), I didn't understand you at all.

like seriously guys, when someone leaves the game the score screen menu does pop out which lets u leave the game yourself without having to exit menu. if the victory screen did not pop up then he obviously did not leave the game.

He said "ahhhhh"... "GG". I said "GG. you played really well" He said some more about Terran being so hard and Zerg being very difficult to play them with. About a full minute after (I knew somethign was up by then) about 10 ultras came at me. I still won with Tanks/Marauders/Thors. Textbook "fake GG" IMHO.

2... when someone actually leaves, it doesnt have [ALL] in front of it.... pay attention cuz if you lose to that.... imo you deserve to lose
