So it confuses me very much that conventional ZvP relies so heavily on Hydra/Corruptor. | ||

Just compare the most used units of a stalker -roach, Stalker 2 cost : 125/50 Roach 2 cost: 75/25 This basically means 100 supply of stalkers is equal in cost to 200 supply of roaches. If the zerg is maxing out on roaches and a few hydras and is equal in supply, he behind by a LOT. Zerg players maxing out on roaches/hydra need to abandon their 300 food push because it fails if u just wait for the protoss to attack you with 5000minerals because he will just destroy all ur production capabilities before ur roaches are even half done. The strength of a roach is in the fact that cost for cost, the roach minerals/gas are worth way more than a stalker. So if you're going for a roach heavy build you better engage as soon as you approach 200. Or better yet waste your roaches by doing cutesy drops taking out probes/valuable production facilities and harassment just to slow the toss down while he sits on his pretty ass. | ||

Everyone knows if you are even on supply with a protoss as a zerg, you are way behind. There are a lot of ways for the protoss to put pressure on you so the protoss to won't even be too behind in food. Even if your economy does go untouched and you do a 200 supply zerg vs 150-170 supply protoss, your first max will have a terrible unit comp which the protoss can usually kill quite efficiently. I have found economy harassment on the protoss to not work so well, as their army value never really decreases. You need to destroy the deathball, not slow it down. | ||

Walling of is a joke in sc2, u wall of make few canon and lings can't even touch your base, ie metalopolis 3rd base where u can just wall of the entire area and have 1-2canons behind. To add to that the warpin mechanics deters any sort of successful multi-pronged attack from ground. (An idiot can pull a perfect wall using shift-que on grid, where as in broodwar even top caliber Team A players failed with walling. Even if you somehow break a building or two zerg units still get blocked of by forcefields, and all the while their units get chipped one by one.) No darkswarm to disable canons/wall. No lurkers to siege fortify positions - have to tech to broods for that & the lack of mobility of hydras just make this matchup so much different then in broodwar. Basically you are left with melee units that are picked off by the far superior range protoss army and add to that they get forcefields to keep the melee units at far + the narrow chokes on most of the maps. On the note of Nydus: The suggestion of using nydus for non offensive purpose doesn't make sense at all, why would you make nydus networks to connect your basses when you have creep highways connecting them to begin with? Zerg has their bases connected their is no situtation which that can be beneficial. the zerg army which is mostly compose of the "ling/roach" is already fast enough I see no real benefit of connecting your bases.... 1. Nydus is useless most of the time because protoss already has pylons covering around their bases(warpin mechanics) 2. Nydus dies in few hits. 3. Nydus makes a sound when it is pops. (LOL, why require skill covering your base. I think mutas should make sound when they are on the map too so you can make canons) 4. Most improtantly In broodwar you had defilers which would darkswarm and help protect the nydus ! | ||

For shows like that you need people with VERY equal language skills. While Socke's english is good he most probably still wouldn't be capable to really "go to the pit" with a native english speaker. Well.. Takes Go4SC2 casts sometimes turn a little into state of the game. But in German and wile games are casted... Even more awesome :p. | ||

When the speed goes down to the point where it isn't progressing anymore, pause the download, and resume it, it will go back to fullspeed for a while, and then when it slows down again, pause/unpause it again. (doesn't work in chrome, but it does work in firefox, haven't tried it with other browsers) | ||
