I still love listening to SoTG. I just feel more care should be taken when choosing topics to discuss. Edit: Also im really glad incontrol apologized ![]() Also always wonder why so much drama surrounds iNcontroL. At first I just thought he's blunt and unapologetic with his opinions. But now I realize, that in spite of good will, Incontrol lacks tact. He can defend himself all he wants, but in the end of the day, the opinions he states are often unnecessary and overly aggressive. Maybe he didn't mean to offend Select, but his choice of words were aggressive and had little silver lining. To him it may have been "if he keeps using this TvP strat he'll start losing games, he should change up his strat" but to many people including me it sounded like "Select is garbage because he keeps using the same strat over and over." I can understand how his words were misconstrued and things were misunderstood, but this recent aggression against Total Biscuit is a little bit unfounded and I don't think any apologies can cover up the fact that, again drama is surrounding iNcontroL. I don't think this is about Geoff censoring his opinions, it's just about him maybe being a little more careful to not unnecessarily step on other peoples' toes. Shitting on TB for being "whiny" and a "terrible caster" (who apparently talks with an Australian accent) doesn't help grow The State of the Game's audience and in fact alienates a large portion of the audience that might follow TB or Husky (or whichever 'terrible' caster he's bashing on). If JP wants the audience to be a little bit more of a member's only club of people who only listen to Day9 and DJ Wheat then that's fine, it is what it is and I hope that doesn't change the way iNcontroL speaks his mind. Again, it's not about iNcontroL censoring his opinions, it's just about being a little more careful and tactful with them. Right now, aside from the having "little patience for in-depth discussions" this is exactly how I see iNcontroL: http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/evilclown.htm Food for thought I would say incontrol. Just my 2 cents.

The whole TB vs Inc has blown out of proportions. I'm sure nobody wanted it to go this far because I feel it really started from nothing too serious. Your right, I'll spoiler my response to not derail :< + Show Spoiler + You know, last week I actually thought how TB handled that drama was not right, but I think TB is 100% right this time. Incontrol can be funny, but when he crosses the line into being unprofessional as shit just so he can get a few laughs, I think I stop listening to SotG, which I have. If your going to troll TB, at least do it man to man, not in front of thousands of viewers on your own show where TB can't defend himself and has to resort coming to this thread where your legion of fan boys lurk.

Well, I'd feel the same, except I don't think the participants in SotG are behaving any differently. It doesn't feel like they're trying to impartial or anything, just voicing their opinions, whether they can actually back it up or not. That's fine. But it does open them up to criticism which, at this point, I feel is well deserved.

Fact is, he has accomplished several things in SC2 while Incontrol and Tyler have not. A single showmatch win is not much of an accomplishment, believe it or not, and why you're bringing BW up I have no idea. That was never the discussion. Feel free to list these "accomplishments" that are too many to go through. They don't exist. Look at their TLPD pages. Morrow: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1212_MorroW Tyler: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/678_Tyler Incontrol: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1139_iNcontroL/main Morrow has won 12 tournaments and one showmatch. He has placed second in 11 tournaments. Tyler has won 2 showmatches. 0 silvers and 0 bronze. Incontrol has won nothing. You are the one who's blinded by Tyler and Incontrol being better known figured in the community. Wow, all this bs even though Incontrol clearly stated that Morrow is an amazing player? You guys seriously need to think before posting this kind of crap. The only thing they criticized Morrow about was his ZvZ and they even said it's not that good because Europe really doesn't have that many good zergs. Totalbiscuit should also stop posting in these kind of threads. He should do like Day9 and just not read these stupid threads, it's just a waste of time.

You shouldn't need to have iNcontroL's approval (and I hope you don't think that) and I hope you ignore the jabs and continue to bring in newbs into this awesome community. I think it's obvious you care about the growth of it and I can hear your passion. You're an entertainer, not an analysist and I think that's often lost on people. and to iNcontroL: I hope you keep doing what you're doing because well, no one's contesting your place in the community and how much you're building e-sports. If Day 9 is the glue that holds the community together, you're the guy who's building the competitive community more and more and being the unofficial "Flavor Flav" of SC2 hype.

Wow, you sure made a great point. Any other brilliant postulates you have? It's not about being serious and if you read anything I said, you'd realize that that's no where to be found.
