He has all the right to come here and state his discomfort, and from what I can see, he did, and you are just being a pain in the ass.

Are you like 6 yrs old? Taking the "I'm rubber your glue" defense?
I'm gonna go trolling some random person on the internet and say random BS based mostly on misinformation... and when he comes to his defense, fairly angry at that, you'll go well HAHA coming to try and set the record straight is dumb!

i would've liked to see TB call assembly a bunch of faggot tbh. not a fan, but i think if he was promised to be casting games, thats what he should have gotten to do and not led around for hours and hours. at least that's what it seemed like, the whole assembly casting was just terrible anyways, the schedule, the amount of games the casters got, everything. i wish big tournaments can figure the casting shit out better.

I'd be interested to hear what happened from TB's side of things. Publicly saying you will "step back" from SC2 as some kind of punishment is an interesting statement to make (assuming he did). As for idra's comment. Well he just likes hearing is own voice i guess. Idras comment about TB being the whiniest person in the community is actually 100% proved by this thread and even this page of this thread. Yeah, unlike IdrA who doesnt whine at all, and is just a generally nice and polite contributer to the forums.

TotalBiscuit needs to take a step back at this point. He's always making himself look bad by engaging in petty arguments here.
If he's that concerned with defending his reputation, all it takes is a single post. "I never said I was quitting SC2." Sitting here and arguing with people over whether you did or didn't say it, or how angry you were about not being able to cast Winter Assembly isn't doing anyone any good.
Part of the reason people like iNcontroL say things like this may just be because he knows you're going to get your knickers all twisted over it. All this drama is ridiculous and frankly, it makes you look immature when acting like a bit of misinformation or ribbing on SotG is the greatest injustice to happen in Esports history.

I dont think you are doing yourself any favours here TB. We can all read between the lines. It was pretty clear at the time and since that you threw the toys out the pram after being left dangling for an hour only to be told you arent doing the game. Justifiably so, I dont know many that wouldnt have been annoyed at that situation.
What should be remembered that official casters of whom TB was one were left for hours without games to cast. We as a community ended up with a large percentage of us watching the German cast, even though a large number couldnt speak German it was still preferable to the alternative.
I can understand that players dont want so many casters in a game, I was getting the impression especially on the second day that players wouldnt go out of their way to invite casters into the games and the admins pretty much left it up to the players to do the invites. Did the players even know who the official casters were? I am guessing no after hearing what Tyler said. This was the result, hours of downtime, games the viewers wanted to see not shown and demotivated casters.

Haha, I would almost pay to see Incontrol & TB have a face-to-face debate about a subject they disagree on.
But it's a good thing everyone in the internet eventually gains a thing called "media literacy", which helps us filter bullshit from real information. But in either case, the fact that people care about events like this enough to repeat them in their shows/casts only means that you matter

Well this is an excellent way to ruin a thread.
Bottom line is, TB is not happy. Rightly so. Even if they were only rumours, speculating live is the worst possible thing to do in an already dubious situation. iNcontroL has posted in here and TB responded. Clearly this was a colossal misunderstanding but TB gets the worse end of the deal. He has a reputation and needs to up-hold it, along with his professianlism. Rumours though useless can derail someone, especially if it hurts them where they are the most serious.

It's reading between the lines that gets people into trouble in the first place. The internet is not a place to 'read between the lines'.

You guys aren't just going to chill and let it go are you?
But fuck yeah I'd love to see TB on SotG one day.......at like 3am.

If TB was just some guy who made a few videos I would say hes being overly defensive. On the other hand, casting and making gaming content IS HIS LIVELIHOOD. When you start making comments to the masses about his plans for not continuing said content (without proper sources), you're potentially taking money out of his pocket.
Imagine for a moment if day[9] went on his stream and mentioned that iNcontroL was an arrogant jerk, a really shitty coach, and will no longer be coaching people ever again! Do you think, maybe, incontrol would freak the fuck out on day9 and dispute such comments? Yes, he would.
iNcontroL has shown that he isn't the biggest fan of casters because they make a lot of money for what seems to be easy work. (He has shown this sentiment in other casting related threads). This may have something to do with his being quick to tear into TB. See that word "may" there? Its great to differentiate speculation from fact isn't it?!
TB is in the right here. The timing of his tweets in relation to the assembly casting mishap does. however, open the door for speculation on his tendency to be overly defensive and/or spiteful about that situation. However, that doesn't give anyone the right to lie about someone, especially when it could potentially hurt that person's career. Call TB a whiney person, but dont try to pass off comments about his future in casting as facts.
|
I'd love if this wasn't brought up in the next SotG and people just moved on. Honestly, it's as uninteresting as extended series at this point. Incontrol apologised, TB accepted the apology. Now the thread is about people arguing with TB.
Just how bloody much does it matter?

As you say, it's done. People are now in possession of the facts. What they conclude from that is their own business.
The only thing left is to challenge Idra to a rap battle.

TotalBiscuit I think you're awesome and based on the information you've provided it sounds like they were wrong to criticize you like they did, but you really really need to develop a thicker skin. You can't take it super personally every time someone criticizes you, even if it they are relatively "famous" people in the SC2 community.

Make it happen, FUCK THE IDRA JINRO SHOWMATCH.
We need a SC2RapStarLeague.
SC2RSL.
Original idea, do not steel.
