A hub SHOULD be in Cali, but keep in mind the above.
Also, incoming post from Enders in three... two...
Haven't watched the episode yet but why Cali? NYC is very accessible by everyone. Columbus would also be good because it is prolly cheaper to operate there. Either way travel will be expensive. And mlg Columbus events have been super awesome.
1). Cali has much better ping to Korea. 2) Most of the gaming press is in Cali. 3) Blizzard is in Cali. 4) Shorter flights to/from Korea.
True I suppose, I could realistically see NA teams setting up houses in Cali. I don't see MLG going to cali though, they really seem to like columbus and NYC is really where the bussiness gets done. But the IPL crew could do work there.
oh cool a SotG. For some reason these always catch me off guard as a nice little surprise every Thursday, must be because they're actually regular now :p.
You guys can probably talk about the things Blizzard has done to cause so many people to lose all respect at their disgusting and disgraceful behavior.

"Disgusting" and "disgraceful" sounds way too harsh... I am not as informed as most others so I may be wrong, maybe you are using the right words.
But please dont flip out if not necessary We need to give them some time... Things will become right. We dont want to scare them off to never care about esports ever again :D
maybe there are some bumps that need to be sorted and the first season could have gone smoother but what blizzard is doing for sc2, our community and esports itself is phenomenal. I can't wait for the next couple of years.
People have been getting so upset over the smallest things and 99% of them won't be in the real competition anyway. I'm excited to see it improve in the months to years to come, like all the other tournaments. Doesn't usually get worse. People need patience and wait until more stuff is announced, like EG's upcoming announcement.

Nothing says fake internet outrage like the words "disgusting, disgraceful and lose all respect". It makes people take you the opposite of seriously.

This NaNiwa announcement is really taking too long now tbh.

Ok catz bringing up the bullshit clg manager talk again now. It means nothing if clg said they were going to invest in sc2, if they never actually do. Anyone can talk like that. Now saying he reversed his decision due to koreans because there's no longer free money in the scene for them means nothing. It just shows that they had 0 commitment to the scene in the first place. Any manager of any team could have said the same thing. It's just fluff talk until action is taken.

That's what I tell myself when I read those posts too, lol! *edit: i was being sarcastic -- like my sig. overthetopseriouspeople are funny
The koreans did work hard to establish their scene but they had a geographical advantage. It was much easier to establish a team house because they lived much closer. I also bet the korean housing and food was cheaper than it is now in North America.
