A hub SHOULD be in Cali, but keep in mind the above.
Also, incoming post from Enders in three... two...

People can do other stuff than just play game after game. Some of the stuff that TB does with Axiom is a good example of original stream content that doesn't compromise strats.

The new UI needs to be more distributed across the screen, too much is clustered on the left and there needs to be a supply count at the top. The supply count in the game gets hard to see sometimes even in 720p. I could do without the unit/structure box on the right as well, but that's something I can live with.

Columbus would also be good because it is prolly cheaper to operate there. Either way travel will be expensive. And mlg Columbus events have been super awesome.

Some pros have commented in the past about how playing games on stream doesn't achieve the same level of practice as playing off stream. Streaming, in and of itself, can be taxing for those who aren't used to streaming every moment of their gaming/training sessions. It's not just about revealing new strategies. I've tried streaming before, and it just feels different than when I'm playing without streaming (probably because I wasn't used to it). Subconsciously, you're always taking into consideration that people are watching you play, and that may just be enough to make you play a little off. Additionally, you feel obligated to interact with viewers in between, or even during, matches.

Dreamhack the only international tournament for example. They got corrected by chat but that shouldn't be happening when the topic is kind of important.

More pro's should try this as a way for them to put in those brand building hours while not giving anything away. After all, Idra playing Protoss would be the best thing ever.

It was a great show and the hosts are not the sources for all WCS knowledge in the entire world. They, in fact, cannot know all things as once and that is why they have to look things up or seek information from the chat. You need to ratchet down your expectations to something a bit more reasonable.

And if we look at the "competitors" like Lo3 and the the GDStudio then we that they getting their infos right. That is just a weakness that Sotg has sometimes and the result of the lack of well informed guy like Slasher or Adebisi. Sotg is a great show and has strong points like balance discussion. Something that neither Lo3 or TheGDstudio could pull of.But the show would even better if they could fix that weakness.

Problem in doing that is that its essentially wasted practice time that isn't R&R. When you are competing against KeSPA type teams its a nontrivial loss.

They stream for ad revenue and to put up viewer minutes for their sponsors. It is time spent supporting the team by interacting with the fan.
